Slowly the markets will go on pricing in new rounds of rate hikes in the US. I will be trader's paradise until the day the frriieende frrom le oda side of le Atlantique, Mr Trichet signals Europe to start raising rates. Then a mess will start.

For stocks, just up, starting somewhere in January with Q4 earnings. Again I see lackluster numbers, but far better than the expected for a '29-like depression.

Big year starting. On the biz front, I set my goals for 2010 and by jan 1st 2011 either I'll be a rich man or I'm closing the damn company. No extra time to waste.

On personal front, becoming a father, who've wondered? Ah whattahell, let's do it. Baby girl's still nameless, kinda of a struggle going on here. LOL... I'll keep you posted as soon as we make up our minds here.

On scientific front, last time I checked, we should have a missing ship orbitting Jupiter by 2010, all to launch a rescue team to retrieve the remains.

Remains that don't include a wacko capitan, that doesn't make up his mind if he's a baby or an old guy, tells us to get the crap out and gets his ass blown up in Jupiter.

So many things we should've done by now (according to Arthur Clarke), but we're still here debating about a 20% CO2 reduction

Big start coming in for the markets today, Dow fut +64, Europe high, oil high.

Ain't nothing like a bigass green candle for the first day of the year.

Good, good...

Just took my early shot of "life sucks" news.

Here in Brazil, by 8:00 am you are already blown by newswires with an average of 30 deaths, 5 or 6 robberies/kidnapping, 4 or 5 floodings (the more victims, the better) and a couple of suicidal car bombing, for the "international news".

Then 2 or 3 corruption news and, finally, a miscellaneous of bad news: foods that are bad, bad news about alcohol consumption, the dangers of using a microwave oven or risk of epilepsy using computers for more than 30 minutes, sex may be bad, trans fat kills, ciggie kills, egg kills, bacon kills, ham kills, pizza kills, beer kills, the dangers of driving at 40km/h, tales of cardiac arrests by smelling roses (or anaphylactic shock by bee stings), risk of cancer by using cell phones, images of sick children, disasters, car crashes, houses on fires - all of then, the more victims, the better.

You can almost see the anchors salivating with those news.

I don't know what kind of sick people actually like to get out to work early in the morning after being flooded with this, but at the end of the day, the anchors will always salivate with big ratings those news cause.

Anyways, let's get down and dirty on our business, there is a goddamned year to fullfill now. Just keep away from flowers and avoind driving at 40km/h, you will reduce your risk of becoming one of my early morning bad news here.
