I took a Scalping Trade last night (my night, since I’m in Australia, it should have been your day if you’re based in US / EU) on NASDAQ Future Index and thought to post the chart to explain more about the Ichimoku Patterns I’m studying / researching these days.
I’ve posted this particular Pattern earlier as well and I’ve found this one to be highly accurate and profitable. Basically what you’re looking for is:

 

  1. Previous Trend which is Bullish in this scenario
  2. Range Bound Flat Trading for a while
  3. A Weak or Average Tenkan-Sen / Kijun-Sen Crossover
  4. Chikou-Span supporting that Weak or Average Crossover (by turning Bearish in this example)
  5. Price enters into Kumo Cloud
  6. Price forms a ZIGZAG pattern inside the Cloud (give allowance of few candles)
  7. Price gives up against the Kumo Cloud and finally breaks the Support (the place I’ve entered into a Short Trade)
  8. Chikou-Span provides further confirmation in that direction

If you don't mind me asking, what broker and platform do you use to trade Nasdaq futures, stock indexes, etc.? Is Ichimoku integrated with the broker's platform?

I use IG Markets but they do not have MT4. For analysis, I use many MT4 platforms and one I can suggest your to have a look at is ICM or GCI Trading.

Hi ichi360, I'm interested on the indicators with alert that you've mentioned above. I believe other ichi users in this thread will be interested as well. Besides that, it could also be great if you have (or could do the coding) a screen alert when chikou span cross the price curve.

It's really stressful when you are glued in front of your pc waiting for the ichi signals appears one by one..

Btw, Happy New Year 2010 to you and to all the ichi users... May the pips be on our side this year he he he

Besides your useful ichi360 v6 indi, I'd also like to share the attach indi (in case any of the trader here doesn't have this indi yet) which prompt us whenever the price cross the Kijun-Sen line. IMO, KS cross is one of the most reliable signal especially at higher timeframe i.e 4H, Daily & Weekly.

It is my first post ,here.

The Kijun-soho indicator draw the kijun line ,only.

For example : on 1 H chart ,you can add 3 Kijun lines.

-1) one line with periods =26 and tframe =1(1x26=26) -----= 1 H Kijun.

-2)one line with periods = 26 and tframe=2 (2x26=52) ----= 2H Kijun.

-3)one line with periods = 26 and tframe=4 (4x26=104)---= 4 H Kijun.

Also ,if you choose periods = 9 ,you have the Tenkan line.

I hope ,this indicator can help ,some one.

CHIKOU SPAN is CURRENT CLOSING PRICE time-shifted backwards (into the past) 26 periods
