none of those setups are valid except one using the original rules towards the right of the chart it looks like. and that probably wouldn't have moved that far anyways because it's on the wrong side

I have read thru this thread for a couple of days while trying to use this system on my platform.

I see what you are talking about using PSAR as a stop loss, perhaps a dynamic stop loss, I will give it a try. I would have definitely taken the buy trade 2nd to the right as it would have easily given 15 pips even though I shoot for 40, this is what I like about the guppy it aides me in confirming S&R breaks, with ema crosses and the MAC, I don't know how successful I will be in the long run not following things to the exact rule, but trend lines and PA do come in to play with these confirmations.

Due to my job I can't continuously watch the charts but this week I had 6 successful trades and 1 loss, only one successful trade hit my 40tp, the loss and the others I decided to punch out as things seemed to be turning on me....all and all I'm sticking with this method

yeah, 15 pips on the usd majors is pretty good. the reason i incorporated it is because it does filter a lot of false signals to possibly trade it whenever. a trending trade happens when it happens and isn't dependent on session sometimes.

you'll clearly see when it ranges because nothing matches up most of the time, as depicted above. If you do get in a range bound market, you won't loose much because psar sits so close to the price, and that wouldn't happen often.

I incorporated it because i had it automated and I needed something better than a set 25 pip stop. the market is dynamic and your TP and SL's should reflect what the market/price says.

I'll be back on it after the new years and maybe live after the 15th again.

use PSAR is a good idea. parameters are (0.03, 0.2)

Gentlemen, I am about a 3rd of the way thru this thread, if that. Id like to ask, was the EA ever finished? I have never seen anyone be able to automate an EA because you have to throw in filters and then before you know it, it is a completely different system than originated. But the results from just the 1st one was very impressive. Maybe with a trailing stop there is no need to throw on so many filters and gadgets.

Can you direct me to the page with the correct EA to use?

as far as i know, I am the only one that had a paid EA to automate similar to the original system with psar thrown in and the pivots taken out. but like i said it was paid for and a good amount of money was spent on it (more than any clickbank EA I know of to date) so i won't be sharing it. i would say have your setup automated if it does work in a simulated visual back test with you putting on trades manually.

The authors quote says it all.

Well Hazel, Im happy for you. But since your Ea wont benefit anyone else in here, theres no use in even bringing it up. The Ea I was refering to was the one pmurfin was working on, that had got descent results. Has that work carried on or did they put so many filters on it that it stopped working. Also does wicker still post here?

yeah, i don't think that EA works from what i read. and TheWicker doesn't even really trade anything anymore.

I am following this thread from very beggining, and want to say something about EA in fx spot market. A year ago on this thread I was trying to explain that there is no EA that can beat the forex market no matter how briliant system we have. Market is changing every day so EA which is set up for last couple of months will not fit future month's or it will for some time and then market condition will change and EA will quick loose all gain we made.
EA can not think and spot support and resistance levels and can not move stop loss accordingly etc. Seting up EA to take 100 pips take profit with stop loss of 30 pips and trail every 20 pips or 30 for example is best way to loose money. Every day in fx spot market is different and is very hard to see or very rare some pattern's that are continuosly appear. I know a man who has EA which gives him a tone of money but he has EA on some others markets and his EA doesn't have nothing similar with some system or something like that, his EA finds different in price on several market and on that way after a circle of transaction he makes money, but this is only one EA that I heard that works, if we can call that EA because it is software on which 20 people works every day not just an indy EA plugin for mt4.
Hope I helped to break a bubble about EA, although EA can be good to help training some system but not trading instead of us.

I believe EA is a great tool to use for giving us an quick alert on the system.

EA is fixed but trader is flexible, like what the Wicker has said in the first post : Winning the forex market depends 70% on the trader, the other 30% is the system...

We should not follow the EA blindly but use it as a tool to help us in the trading decision.

Pilatus I'm so happy to see you are still around this thread. I have been going through from post 1 over the few days and have seen that you have made very great contributions here and hoping both or any of either you or Wicker would be around to still guide when I'm ready to try out the system. I want to trade it as it was originally. Hope you'ld be around.

Sure buddy, my contribution here will depend on my free time which is less and less last months, but I will do my best to say something when I find free time.
Anyway did any one spot good trade on eur/usd today? Look at picture below. After a breakout of previous resistance price retrace and find good support on that level and we got signal for long entry.

I'm glad to see that this system still works in its original form. I saw that and took it and also usdchf sell. GU buy signal failed although it did your favorite move - bounced off a resistance turned support.(GU gave a better signal ealier in the morning but I missed it so I waited for the retracement).As a matter of fact all the three signals made similar moves.

PA at the higher time frame (H4) support shorts for this pair at the moment. The H1 shown below gives likelihood of bounce down on the confluence of a Weekly former support turned resistance,fibo23.6,and 38.2.
The M5 also shown below shows the TF condition gradually coming in. The signal may happen it may not,I'm waiting for it.
I'm however skeptical about it even if it eventually does come through due to the large moves that have already taken place in the past as seen in the rainbow's size.Please Pilatus what do you consider a better decision in this case? What rainbow size (in pips ) is "too" wide? And which can be considered to be within acceptable limit?
