The pullback I was using for the current cycle was broken to the high side on that last retracement..I personally don't care too much when that happens, I maintain the same target, but some believe that one must reconfigure the fib to the new pullback. For those who prefer such an action, here is the current cycle with a more conservative target. This is also a triggered trade because from the pullback I am using, price was able to move down far enough to break the lower 38.2 fib. Remember, the inner fibs are just different fib's 0/100 lines and...
That you were a disliked at the other site... I am a little surprised by that. You were one of the loyalists of this thread to the end from what I remember. Anyway, water under the FX bridge. It seems you are using the "rumble fib" method. I can see your reasoning, however, look at the over riding factor....S/R baby. It rocks!

Had a few beers tonight, cheers all! Just wanna say glad I stumbled across this thread...stumbled being the operative word tonight.
I gotta say I've enjoyed reading the whole thread and feel humbled to have actually posted here. I don't know who has the right idea here, maybe everyone, after all Skunny never taught a system, he just tried to open our eyes so it's all down to what shapes you see. I think you can always make a fib fit somewhere but it's not the size of your fib, it's what you do with it.
Now I've been doing a lot of testing and I must say it's never been better, I wish it was real! So I put 2 live deals on today, both hit target to the pip, how about that, beginners luck I guess (I hope not.)
Now I don't do it like Thom and I don't do it like Scotty, I do it my way (well maybe a little navigational help!).
Anyway, it's been a pleasure being here talking to you people.

I agree with you Scotty B, Fibs are not 100% predictive.
For that matter - nothing can be, because the market is made up of the sum of all traders and nobody will ever know how they will react at any given time.
On the other hand, if you use Fibs to take the highest probability trades, then trading success is 100% guaranteed.
One thing I have to say about Skunny is that he is a brilliant salesman. Whether or not he is a good trader is up in the air, but if he runs into tough times he wont' be hungry for long. There are certain ways that you can manipulate people into giving you all their money. Don't try reasoning with them, thats never worked - remember that all you telemarketers and salesmen and women among us.
If you want to take a man's money out of his pocket, simply appeal to his emotions. Take advantage of his need (wal-mart), greed (skunny, madoff), want (mcdonalds), Fear (stop losses
), Image (bmw, mercedes, ferrari, rolex..), Self esteem (males enhancment products), ect..If you can switch on one of these areas in a person, you'll have even Tom Hopkins wondering what your secret is. Next time someone trys to sell you though, try to be aware of this. Same thing goes for threads like this.

I would like to wish everyone here a happy holiday season and Christmas wishes. Forex factory is like the market. It is full of little gems that when searched with diligence can be found. However, like the market, the 95% usually are the ones not making the money and it's the 95% that cloud things up with their silly notions, incorrect assumptions and bogus theories. I am not trying to be-little these folks, because I do believe that the majority of the folks are sincere, yet ingnorant. I truly believe that success in this market starts with knowledge about the market fundamentals and the technical aspects, is bridged by acquiring a truly great mentor and then finally achieved by the execution of trades, both good and bad using a sound mental and risk management approach with whatever model or method you have chosen or been taught. I won't say you can't learn here at FF, from a book, or from a website, but I will say that most can't. This thread truly shows the cloudiness that can shadow true learning, even though there are little nuggets to be had. When you come back to see some of the things YOU may have posted here at FF months, even years ago, you can see how that could scew someone else in their thinking. I am guilty of that as much as anyone. I think the key is this, if you are around long enough to MATURE as a trader in this market, still having some funds left over after taking a pounding because you were too stubborn to believe or listen to seasoned veterans of this industry, then you may find yourself consistant and profitable regularly. This is not easy. There is no elevator to the top although many are cramming in trying to ride it. There is only a stairway leading to the top of success here and it's a long haul but with the effort necessary and the will to succeed with ultimate belief in your success you will find the componants to make it. Sure there are superstar successes overnight, you find them in every industry, but they are rare and not the norm. However, we need not be a superstar to make a tremendous amount of money in the market, we only need to learn to play the game correctly.

Likewise Thom, no hard feeling towards you personally, but I do believe you have something to prove. I say that because you are making an extraordinary claim here. If the 100% jargon is not a huckster statement, then prove it. I don't really care to know the specifics as if I have a double motive in wanting you to prove something to me so I can use it for my own benefit, but why not start making trade calls? You've already made one regarding GY. I challenge you to get just 10 trades right in a row. All you need to do is post the direction, the stop...
S/R is just the reading of supply/demand. If there is a holy grail, that's it!

Do I finally here a hint at supply (selling) and demand (buying) as in ANY market conducting business??? That's what it's all about. There is no method going to predict when George Soros dumps the pound again, however, we can be right a majority of the time because ole George doesn't do that very often....Thank Heavens...
