that follows my line of reasoning..a little reassurance is always appreciated. I still like the adage"he who fights and runs away ...lives to fight another day" I do not need every pip only the ones that are in my favor

Ya know I could actually see all the high betas (aud, nzd, gbp) consolidate for the next 24 hours with little movement and they would still be extremely bearish. There is room for a 50 pip pop up and they would still be extemely bearish.

This is why I quit day trading for the most part. My analysis methods are very very very good at spotting reversals, but little intraday contra moves elude me.

Absolutely yes. I do both. Position trade when I see a major reversal, swing trade for 2day to 2 week trades. Just depends on lots of factors.

I might get cheeky and make a day trade if I see something I like but my results are not even close to my position/swing trades.

Just wondering what the average spread is on the aud/usd.
My broker has a 4 pip spread but I'm looking at another which
has a 1.5 pip spread. Lower is obviously better but am I missing something?

I will respectfully disagree with you there. Central banks do interfere with rates from time to time. Some days before it hit 9325, it crossed over 94.08 but there was no intervention there. If you have a look at your volume charts you will see where intervention must have taken place.

Besides 8750, I can see a major support at 8740, which will be hard to cross anyway. I went long from 8750 and wil reverse with douoble the position when I get the indication from MACD and RSI charts. Good luck to all.

I've closed all my shorts at 0.8740 , and took out a long at 0.8745

Yes I belive so, and anyways I took enough pipis profit from my shorts in total = 120 pips

I closed my longs at 8758, with double position. Did the same thing at 8744, I now long and in profit. will only reverse if it breaks clear 8740.
