Thanks Mac for the added instruction. I was thinking of on FCR as a fractal with 2 lower preceedimg and 2 lower succeeding the swing high, not remembering the loopiness part you mentioned.

Hello all,

I have recently started trading a break after a pullback on a one tick chart, and I just happened to look at this thread. Yes, I know it have been around and popular for quite a long time, but it never occurred to me that it will be of much relevance to me! Talk about the law of attraction!

I did not look at every single post, but I have seen comments about TFs below 5 mins are mainly noise. So I would just like to know if anyone have tried this method on lower timeframes? It works really well for me during trending sessions, but I usually get caught in the ranges. Trying to avoid that now.

We try to keep this thread as pure as possible by sticking to one pair one time frame. This allows people to learn without clutter. So many threads disappear because people, well intentioned people, crowd it with discussions about anything and everything that springs to mind - until the central methodology gets obscured and it becomes over-complicated and indecipherable.

Many people here trade different pairs and time frames, but do not discuss that here.

So your question is better as a Private Mail to Feb as I'm sure he'll be pleased to answer. I have PM'd my answer as well.

But please read the thread and you will understand the method - and I have no doubt that you will find it time spent profitably.

I am checking out oanda`s platform. I may wanna open an account with them after the holidays because of the low trading cost (spread) they offer and the flexibility of position sizing. I know there are many traders here that trade with them so I would be very thankfull if you give me your overview of them as a broker and the platform, and also specifically about these few points.
1. Spread widening, how often this happens on EURUSD, and can it specifically hurt our style of trading. I am used to trade with fixed spread.
2. Platform stability - I ve read several times about these "platform freeze" on some forums.
3. Trendlines - I have a lot of trouble with drawing them to mark fractals. Also the platform manual says if you want to move or modify them you just have to click on the trendline and menu will appear, but it seems I can bring this menu up. When I click on the trendline some I get a order menu (buy market, sell market etc. - see the attachment).

I ll dedicate last trading days of this year to get a feel for this platform and not trade live.

Nice to see pips for xmas Ready, good stuff. I missed the that one earlier in the day, moved my stop to .4361, stopped out +14, as pushed thru the HH, and came straight back down, NY opening right now too.
