Thank you Mike for this quick response. I did not enter to either at the end as I have seen much nicer things before myself. Your comments do help me.
I am watching EU here though for a set up.

some people are good at the former, but weak at the latter (good earner but massive spender) or vice versa (weak earner but proficient saver)

Noticed that too. Was pretty much 50/50 on whether it was a tradeable play or not, but then I saw oil, and decided it looked profitable enough. Too bad all of these bar lows are in the way, could see this thing going lower, but don't feel like getting chopped out. Are you still holding any?

head and shoulder pattern, already broke the neck, there's double low bar broken on daily, and double high lower close on 4H below the neckline

I will only enter a long order, with IB's I don't enter orders for breaks of both directions (as some do). If it drops south (which it easily could) I would wait for a retracement back to 1.4500 and then look for price action to short.

IB's to me are trickier plays but can provide good risk/reward. I only play them at serious levels/pivots. Buob/Beob and pins are more my style along with occassional breaks as with the Gbp/Chf trade I am in.

just to make it clear about IB's (that I don't like so much), if there's a Daily IB at close, where would you place your BUY order ? At the high of the previous large engulfing candle at 1.4646 or at the high of the current one (small one) ?

Personally (which doesn't make it right) I would place it just above 1.4600 as I don't like entering any orders long just below or short just above round numbers. If it wasn't just below 1.4600 I would go ten pips or so above the bar of today.

It is early though, for all we know this could form a two-day pin par. I will wait and see and then adjust accordingly.

but here's mine. unfortunately he died at the the age of 3 due to cancer.
