I took four trades with my business account this week. GBPUSD +189, AUD/USD -10 pips, NZDUSD +73 and AUDJPY +20. I know I missed several opportunities on some other trades but I don't want to get into too many trades and get confused. I'm starting slowly and I'm picky as hell. The account only grew by 2.6% this week which is small but I am happy that I didn't watch the $, stuck with my trading plans, kept the mm at 1% risk.

I would like to short this pair down to the 1.58 area. I'm just not getting the signal I would like to see on a longer TF. I am getting some beautiful pins on short TF's. 15 pips here and 20 pips there start to add up.

Great to see you post here again Roger. I am just posting to ad it to my list of subscribed threads.

I've been looking for reasons to short EU and GU. A pullback would be nice but until then lower timeframe scalps are the order of the day.

Another lovely 15M BEOB on GU at a double top just printed....

Yeah I saw that Aaron. I chickened out and let it go. I'd like to see something on a more significant TF for shorting now. Just psycology coming into play. Three shorts three nice winners today and now I'm more cautious. Man I'd love to see some great PA on Gold, Silver or here on GU to short again. I didnt post these charts on J16 because I didnt want to influence newer guys to dial down and start trading these. Best of luck to you on this pair.

Roger... I am really glad to see you have begun to use Divergence now... !! Or maybe you have been for a while and I just havent noticed.....

If you can... take a look at the first and second posts in my journal.... and maybe you can see some more things you like about divergence.... There you will see the MACD and and slow stoch setting I use.... and these are the settings Rob Booker uses for his Arizona rules.....YOU DO REMEMBER GOING TO SEE HIM RIGHT...??? If you take HIS settings and put them side by side to your settings, you will see that Rob Bookers filter out some of the smaller divergence trades and show up the good BIG trades... Nothing wrong with your way... just showing you another thing.... I have put as chart here... yes it is a monthly chart, but the settings work on any time frame of coarse.... take a look at that chart... And count the pips on all those red candles... !!!!

Also.... I dont know if it is a hard fast rule... but usually divergence is considered one high or low point to the next on MACD... with no other smaller highs and lows in between..... refering to your chart in post 560 here in your journal...

Hope you are well !!!! I get to ride a motor bike now... but its just a little 110 cc to get around town... but then, thats what we all drive here... !!!

You'll know you've seen it all when you see a guy on a 110 cc motorbike with a refridgerator tied to the seat behind him and his two kids sitting in front of him riding down the street... !!! YES it is true !!!

You switched to all forex now... or still doing the other business too.???

Hey Frank! Good to hear from you again. Yes I am a full time trader now. I sold my business on Oct 9th to a large flooring retailer here in Montgomery County. I have to do consulting work for them for 10 more months but they are paying me generously for my time during this period. They have been a great group of folks and I am supremely blessed to have been able to deal with them for this transition.

It sounds like you are settling in nicely in Viet Nam. I'll bet it is a totally different world over there huh? Those 110cc modes of transport are very common I'm sure. What does a gallon of gasoline cost over there?

Thanks for the tips on divergence. I'll be studying that some today as it looks like I missed the moves Ive been waiting for as I slept.

OK.... now speaking of divergence again.... nice on setting up on EUR/USD 4 hr time frame.... Rob Bookers settings... His rules.... Price now came down to touch the 800 sma..... which means it is OK to trade divergence set ups on Arizona Rules..... Slow stoch signal crossing.... about time to go long on EUR....

I haven't traded anything but TT5 for a while.. and I dont often look at 4 hr time frame... but I might just take this one.... !!!

I just shorted GBPUSD...again. Just seemed like a good place to short. Trend is down but ranging. This price is at the top of that range. There is a confluence of trendline and resistance. I am reading MACD divergence as well. This is more of a "touch" type trade so I did not post on J16. I have a line alerter stationed at 1.6400 and a stop loss at 1.6450 (in case I sleep through my line alert alarm). Show me a handsome pin on the 4hr close and I'll ride down to that 1.58 area. Let's see.

OHHH the 4 hr divergence is getting better !! Now Im really interested !! Price now falls to below the 800 sma on 4 hr... hitting 200 ema on daily.... maybe we bounce up here !! Soon time to trade this one... First TARGET WILL ALWAYS BE THE BACK TO THE 800 SMA.... !!! Get Ready !!

Hey Roger, I've been reading through your thread, hence the question on taking retracement entries on the J16 thread Do you have any opinions on that? Are you discretionary in how you enter, or do you always enter on a retrace/break?

I like the 618 better than the 50. My forte is the 1 hr charts but it works on any TF. If my 1 hr fib aligns with a s/r on the 4 hr(brown) or weekly (yellow) and I get a nice pa signal there I will be more liberal with my SL in hopes for a runner. If I see that the pa is in the middle of no where or in other words just in response to my newly drawn retracement level on the 1 hr chart I'm in and out for a quick 20 pips. I hope that this helps you.

P.S. Be careful how far back you go on my thread. I haven't settled on a trading style until recently.

I was just looking at that on the daily - it's shaping up like 2 day pin but, should it close like that, I'm unsure whether to take it because of the immediate bar low...

There is actually a line alerter at 17.32 telling me to look at this chart. I feel like if we get here I can safely short silver again.
