PA moves in last days remind me of big & sudden moves back around Labor Day (end of September) - and that's another period of low liquidity in the markets. Low liquidity moves can be good ones to catch with this method, though... I noticed many "larger than normal" swings on the 10s E/U chart last night (FO/LO to about 1100 GMT)...

Why low liquidity now? Its getting toward the end of the year & hedge funds & other big speculative players are closing out their books for the year. Business slows down, in general, around Christmas and year-end, so big pending deals may wait for Bank funding until after the holidays.

Stop loss was too tight and took a 3 pip loss instead of 20 pip winner.

to avoid fake brake-outs I would suggest to wait for continuation after the first candle.... big moves usually have instant strong continuation... if not don't enter at all and wait for the next one

Example of a perfect setup that failed. With the exception of major news events, I will no longer trade after 4am eastern. Way too many setups seem to fail after this time.
