GoodDay Ichimoku Warriors,

Its already 8 months I learn and practise forex trading,(2months demo and 6 months live)
Allow me to write my thought on ichimoku system from newbie perspective?

Hello Traders,

IB u explain your entry of Kumo breakout on h1 (bullish) with daily below the cloud I have been trading this way with great success.

Interesting to note is Vic latest post of Kijun cross. I have been combining IB scenario of h1 bullish kumo breakout with daily below or in the cloud, however these entries are taken when Kijun cross occur on the h4 or daily.

Backtest this : a h1 Kumo breakout that occurs with daily not agreeing with h1 will almost always has Kijun cross on a higher TF, and remember the pdf says the most POWERFUL Ichi strategy is the Kijun cross (especially on a higher TF). I do look for entries on 15/30 min when the above criteria plays out.

Vic this post is timely and is testament why u reach annual target 2 months ago (lol). You once said Ichi have so much to offer. I just looked at IB tlb with Chikou and i will be implementing this.

What if breakout on H1 is already occured, shall we wait for another Ts/Ks cross to be occure with respect of H4 trend direction for new entry? or we should wait for another kumo breakout?

you are right it is will be a confirmation of cross at 1H
you will enter at the white line

but if you check 4H you will see already KS & TS was crossed and this is stronger and also the white line above it

so we just wait complete candle formed out of 1H TF Kumo as LB show
and note the twisting occur before you can see the KS & TS cross

No need to wait 1H TF cross if already it occur at 4H time frame
and price close above 4H kuji-sen as LB show us

No i meant for a new entry, if we missed the H1 breakout then for new entry with the same circumstances can we re-enter at new Ts/Ks cross?

I think it is better to wait for another chance due to you are now far from stop loss level and will be more more risky due to:
- you will set bigger stop loss.
- and for money management if you catch the best entry and you risk 20$ per trade for 100 pips stop lose pip = 20 cent
but if you late 150 pips of entry your stop will be 250 pips and when you rik only 20$ so pip = 8 cent no need for such trade
you can search for another pair or just wait another chances

Hi, I just learned the basics of the method and was looking for a thread to further learn about it.

Out of curiosity, which pairs do you guys trade using Ichimoku? JPY ones only or others too.
