Been lurking in the background for a week, reading up and putting in some chart time. All nice straight forward J16 PA with some other confluences thrown in. Nice work on keeping up the momentum with the thread Jankone.

Two easy trades today. Simple stuff, obvious TPs. Potential to hold the second trade for longer as it's with the trend, but things to do!

IMHO such clear setups, with less of shadows, calm movement and nice pin are great wins + good RR

Thanks Winston. I've been doing this for a while with higher timeframes, so nothing new. Just trying to cut my teeth on the lower timeframes.

Interesting BEOB on GU too. Didn't take it as just gonna stick to testing pins at the moment, but PA is PA, no matter what the timeframe. The key is, and always will be, location.

A few charts that would prove disaster if you try to trade against a trend when price is riding the bb... Avoiding these types of trades regardless of bar shape has been key to my improvement.

kind of a weird day today, had a huge move in the dollar but equities have stayed pretty level. First time live I've seen the markets ride the rail the entire session and not even bother to pullback, happened a few times during my backtesting...M3 chart probably would've been gold today.


that's why RyanMcd trades CT Pin bars when the BB are flat!

This is true.

Also, the BUOBs are profitable on this timeframe too , if anything I find them more profitable than pinbars in my experience but I digress.

That's why I think the 5Min is so much harder than the higher timeframes. On the higher timeframes bars like these actually mean something, whereas on 5Min they could have been formed due to literally anything.

yes- nice pinbars - BUT no div ( I am sure, you know rules about CT trading - div + pin) so NO trade. No risk, no sl , no profit.... sometimes you can "catch" the falling knife, but you will lose your profits to next 5 same ct trades without div...

Why do I have feeling, that people can't read whole #1 ?

I did it really short and concrete... not 50x A4 like other systems.

if u are online Andy12, u can add these charts to the charts i've recently mentioned that u look at.
btw, the trend was so strong that those pins technically did not have a chance to break (to the upside, first chart; downside, 2nd chart).

in a strong trend, u cannot rely on div alone.

dont worry about the "other people"; they either learn or they dont; they either make time for learning or they dont... the only thing that should matter to u is that u have done your part to make a contribution to this forum.
Thanks I got this now. Strong trend just trade with trend or stay away and don't look for CT. Flat market or weak trend conditions only where you look for CT.
