I have a question I usually trade the kumo breakout only

I set my stop loss on the 1H chart at span B are you see better to set it on 1 D chart span B

and when we are in the kumo no trading zone what if price inside the daily kumo

if you are going to trade the daily breakout you will need to move your SL with SpanB daily , if you are using the 1Hr entry you will be using SpanB 1Hr as ur SL , and if you are using the 1Hr and the daily is inside the Kumo u better stay aside till the kumo is clear

thank brother did you think it is safe to work in lower time frame kumo breakout if the daily price inside the kumo like 1H and 15M

yes it is ok as long as you respect the limits of the higher TFs , so don't think of takin a position on 5Mins and leave to extend to be a daily position :nerd:

Hello traders, I was out all day and did not do any trading today (not because it's Friday) just some personal business.
I would like to try to answer this difficult question to which I have no definite solution. The ichimokuwiki document hints at this topic and examines each strategy individually, like if it's a TS/KS cross then exit at the cross in the other direction, if it's a kumo breakout then exit at the breakout in the opposite direction etc....
I tend to use these general rules sometimes but most of the time it's quite difficult to know if a trend is exhausted and ready to move in the opposite direction, that' why I look at patterns and that's why I asked you to experiment and decide individually. personally I find that when a price stalls at the end of a long move and goes side ways it probably is going to reverse, so I tend to exit all or half my positions depending on whether I have confirmation from the daily or weekly that the originl trend will probably resume after a brief correction (this btw could last from one day to a week), taking the price a few hundred pips along with it.
I have illustrated the latest move on EJ where we had a bearish 1H breakout entry was @ 132.564 and exit @ 129.400. the trigger for exiting was a key resistance at this price and shown clearly by the chikou span.
as soon as I reach this conclusion I draw a trend line from the latest peaks on the CS line and wait for the break of this line, this would be my exit with most of my pips preserved.
there is a nice little pdf document about CS trendline break in the attachement section and all my posts with SanMiguel explaining this method so look it up if you are interested.

Hello Woolly and Feriz, I thought I would try to answer this question also, but would welcome input from Vic or anybody who has other ideas.
the 1H breakout as you have all realized by now is very successful and lucrative strategy, but what it needs is some classification. now there are bullish and bearish breakouts, but these can happen with a daily price above or below the clouds. now as Woolly has noted some of these very good breakouts take place with a daily price opposite to the kumo, do we take them or do we pass them?
my personal view is have a look at the daily or weekly if you want, and decide if there is some confirmation in the direction of the breakout, of course the strongest confirmation is when the price is on the same side of the kumo and the trend, but if there was for example a weak TS/KS or KS cross or if the chikou span crossed the price in the same direction then take your trade after the retrace and manage your trade strictly to minimize loss.
below is the example of GJ breakouts on Dec 1 and Dec 11. the first is in retrospect because we know what happened and it very easy for me to say that this is a good breakout, but take a look at the daily insert. the price was below the kumo, BUT the price also hit resistance and was reversing towards the KS and even flat kumo so a few hundred pips to resume downtrend if it is going to happen, would I take the breakout , YES.
the second breakout, similar scenario, the price is still under the kumo but now it has picked up some momentum by a weak bullish TS/KS cross and there is still room to reach the flat kumo, would I take this breakout, YES.
this how I view it but to each his or her own views, forget that you think I am experienced because I am still learning as all of you and think if it makes sense, but do try it the next time you face a similar scenario and see how many times out of 10 it comes true.

DON'T KNOW. JUST SEEN THE INDICATOR ON A ATTACHMENT AND GOGGLED IT AND IT GIVES YOU BREAKOUTS ETC

it seems nice as it is giving all breakout signals on all TF's but just wondering how they execute the signals.

On D1 TF it's showing short at Tenkan / Kijun crossover above kumo. it is confusing anyhow thnx for the indicator.

Look in top right hand corner and on the alert it gives you, it will tell you if it is a weak, med or strong signal and then its up to you to look at support or resistance and make your choice

Hello Traders tell me what you think about that:
I try to use all information Ichimoku Tell me about

This is the strategy it is not new it just the way

- I enter the Kumo Breakout when I see a new candle open and close out of it on 1H TF but I respect the daily Kumo Trend, If Price inside the daily Kumo no trading Zone on any time frame, and up or down trend with kumo is the direction of my trades.

Note:
when the price is near to make break out on the 1H chart I watch the 15M TF to get in with the best entry.

- After I see the new candle close out kumo I check the kumo of the forward 26 bar if there is twisting (I use gray box for that) if the twisting inside it or not.

the gray box width = 26 bar , start at the first closed candle out the kumo , this show if the twisting in its way while breakout occur it is eyes of the future

- Stop Loss sure we use the kumo to determine it as Vic show us and I will
set its level in the photo and also we will move it with the kumo.

all this Trade is an example for this strategy

Example (1)
Information we have to look for it at every trade
Daily Kumo : Down (Most important)
Twisting occur in the gray box: Yes
Stop Loss at the kumo span A above the closed candle

see this photo the same happen but price get again in the kumo but not hit the stop loss level

 another Example with the same rules I draw the gray box start from the first candle close completely out the chart and see what if there is a kumo twisting

All last positions the price was under the daily kumo and we was watching the activity on 1H TF

the following example show fake signal due to its against the daily kumo trend

Daily Kumo : not clear (Most important)

doubling your words, and more LB is a great hunter , he has a very clear mind and the ability to get his pips from the market whatever was the conditions , am very proud to have smart traders like LB and all of you guys around you add a big value to this thread i can't deny that i have learnt a lot through this small journey.

bravo , very good expalanation . Indeed chinkou is helping a lot to determine those S/R levels , as well as price itself obviously .
