G'day,

Good to see this thread alive again mates. It is bar none the best thread on this site. Pay attention to the 62 the 50 38 and mostly the properties of sr and you will not have to guess anymore as rear over teakettle as that sounds.

Lose the indicators chaps and there are more then a few ways to skin the beast. have fun mates! and remember to look at fibs as sr. Don't read anything other the what Skunny wrote and be creative in the context of sr and the fib will indicate you are right as price dances off of it.

Morning everyone. It's a cold wet one here in England. I'm pretty sure Skunny suggested using the Zig Zag early on in the thread to find swing points. Somebody was definately using it. You can also use Fractals, they do the same job. Remember Skunny had a feel for it, he could see where the fibs should go just by looking at the chart, it's one of the reasons he suggested everybody put some time in on Vhands.

Have a look at post #407. Skunny suggest a non lag zig zag indi for guidance, not for trading. I think he later slags it off.

As far as PA on the inner fibs go, I use it to gain further assurance that the fib I have drawn is the correct one. If the market doesn't react to the inner fibs, then chances are you have drawn the fib incorrectly. I originally thought that "validation" of a fib involved the market to achieve some particular internal retracement; now, not so strongly. That being said, the market can and does work on multiple cycles in multiple time frames at the same time, so the fib you draw may not be the same fib I draw, but both of them could still work. It actually takes much practice to draw fibs correctly (your version of correct); there is no easy way around it either. Successful traders are like artists, and I'm not just talking about successful traders that have roots in this particular method. It is essential that each individual gain their own understanding of the market and that only comes with patience, time and persistence. There is a wealth of information in this thread. If you pay attention, it will provide you with a solid base from which to build and grow your understanding of the markets.

I've been watching this thread since the beginning, and was sad to see it burn out. Is it approaching critical mass again? Let's hope so. Some things I remember from Skunny early on:

"You can walk your fib from candle to candle for months and it should only take a few minutes before you see what I'm talking about."

"...if your stop is in a place where you aren't prepared to place a trade in opposite direction, you have some work to do."

"...you can actually enter the market and never leave."

thomknight.... very interesting post...but it sounds like a riddle... please no more riddles .. the followers of this thread have been through enough... can you be more specific... we are all ears if you found or know something we can all use to pin down the answer to skunnys riddle...please elaborate!

there is something we all need to figure out... skunny said on one of his first post that we need to draw a chart like his and see what happens when it is penatared not boken.. that its important to watch it live ..ive traded vhands and i dont get it...any ideas any one

Can you find that post? Did he say penetrated but not broken or penetrated and not completed..

Lets do it here is a trade I took today that touched the 61.8% to the pip then dropped like a rock. I always set my orders to open at the 61.8% and the 76.4% fib even though skunny never talked about the 76.4% fib. What do you guys think? Price action pierced the 0% fib so I drew a secondary fib but price seems to respect the green more than the red.

Fibs on fibs, probability on probabilities, stack 'em, rack 'em. Approach 100%!!

But how to work with 2 or 3 fibs? Much time and observing on vhands necessary.

I trade really good now and when I take a trade the rr is usually 3 times reward compared to risk so I want to thank him for that. The only thing I cant figure out is when a trade doesnt work WHY doesnt it work.

The thing that always gets me is Everytime I have a fail ( skunny says if a fib fails you drew it wrong!) I can go back and redraw and I find where I Shouldve drawn it from...so our goal is to not to figure out WHY it failed , we know why( cause we drew it in the wrong place) the goal is to figure how to know ahead of time where that correct fib is supposed to be!
Does anyone even know what happened to skunny? I tried to use the contact us link on tradefibs.com his private site but I cant even do that. I wonder if Bobokus could contact him and try to revive this thread or even start a new one. I am like all of you guys I am just waiting for the puzzle together I have read skunnys posts at least 3 times in the last 2 months. I am reading it again and thought I would take a break lol.
