I have gone long the euro at 1.5079, based mostly on the position of dx which should move down. Targeting 1.5140, stops below 1.5055

Getting bored, market doesnt look that weak as I expected. I might get out with some small profit and wait for the next set up.
9280 seems to be a hard nut to crack.

Pretty bullish, even if its boring. No supply has stepped in it seems and the chart formation looks like a pennant or flag (continuation).

I will buy a break+hourly close of yesterdays high, wish I had set that up for E/J at Tokyo open.

Aud daily chart, the pink dot has been taken out this morning. To me that indicates another 2 week up period before any major selling will take place. All uptrends on the aud this year have had 14-17 upward dots before changing. This I expect should take us up to 95 before christmas.

Have to agree at this point doing my 3 candle analysis on the daily. This is either the best place in the world to sell or we will not see PA at these low low levels for some time to come.

If it is above then i will hold with stops below the daily PP

Had to drill down to M15 to get this one looking right, but it looks right. Higher highs and higher lows, pullback, launch, consolidate...just waiting on the break to close for confirmation.

Just being at this level today is bullish. We couldn't spend 5 minutes above it yesterday.

Now is as good a level as any to re enter a short. I will admit that the short term charts don't look good for bears. Then again, who am I to judge short term charts? I trade medium term because I hated analyzing short term charts and I was pretty average at it. Stops for day traders can be put above 7300 and then 7330 for the braver.

Just a little musing for the thread. Everyone is bullish and risk appetite is back on the menu because a large bank actually paid back the money they got that they had to borrow because of a crisis they caused. Hmmmmmmmmm.

I know, trade the markets you have, not the one you want.

S&P is really at a critical level now. That is the ace that bears have up their sleeves.

The issue is that even if the big dog knows big bear is about to come out of the woodwork, it will be easier for them to push stops at obvious levels to sell into (now that the price is already here, for whatever reason).

Just like in the gold market right now, it is easy for interbank to push the levels up. They have plenty of retail shorts to buy into. To me, it isn't fundamentals that pushed gold this high in one move, it is much simpler answer: top pickers getting crucified and covering shorts. When there is lots of stops in the market and you can push them, you make everyone into a buyer very quickly.

As an example: every afternoon in NY thousands of day traders just like G_man decide "gold has gone far enough time to short" leave their positions on the market with tight SL "because this is the top for sure". Tokyo comes online 2 hours later, interbank sees all the retail stops just above the high, they push it on gold futs a few points to the high, trigger stops, suddenly all those retail shorts are now longs (what is the stoploss of a short? A BUY)

Oh yeah, couldn't agree more. That is why I don't have stops at those levels. I am not a day trader. Having open positions going into NFP will be a bit nerve racking but no risk, no reward.

Sinner, you seem to have good knowlede of interbank workings. Is there any coordination on a stop hunt? I know from years of PA that some levels are just protected too well to try. I always assumed there is knowledge of what percent of stops are retail and thus can't really be protected. These sorts of things.

except I dont do SL but i know what you mean ...

anyway lets just hope that she doesnt go above 1250 before going down to 1200 ... i just opened another one at 1225 ...
