All you have to do to use the latest with all 5 pairs is enter them into the PairsToTrade input.

I have the latest version on my live account. A tiny account, but tiny is all the accounts I have.

I am not telling you to use the latest, just pointing out that I am.

Of course You know best, You are the coder. and I will take the latest version from tomorow. But I must say that I love the first idea with trading a basket with 5 pairs....not many pips/pair for take profit 200*base lot.
I have not followed the tread perfect...been busy with my ordinary teaching and trading swedish futures.

Scoobs noticed that the two pairs in the default basket hit tp as quickly as a basket with all 5 pairs, but with far less dd. This has been true in my experience.

SMJONES:

I have your new indicator up and running fine, but the price shown on the right of the offline chart does not match that of the Dragon. GBPJPY price is 144.025 and your chart reads 96.298. Where does this price come from?
Ignored
The JPY candles is all of the 7 jpy pairs aggregated together and averaged just the same way the RS_Group indicator see them. The, as you call it Dragon is just GBPJPY, and only that pair, of course they will be different.

OK. Is it possible to trade off your aggregate chart, or must we still trade each pair individually?

You can use Steve's EA to manually trade a basket.

Steve,

I have been following this thread for a while now, thank you for your efforts.

I hope this isn't a repeated question, but I searched the thread to see if at some point if the basket is in profit, should it be closed manually? I assume looking at the indicator would be a good start. Earlier you just let it run since it's on a demo.

I got a buy basked last night at 1:40 EST, and it just closed 20 hours later after reaching 20x TP (on demo without hedging). Just wondering if I should have thought about closing it earlier before a possible loss. Could baskets stay open for several days, or is that bad practice?

Thanks again.

Sounds like a plan, but mine are demo trades so I can leave them to run.

This is easily true for me - using an Aussie broker some of the spreads were massive...the reduction to only 2 pairs makes a lot of sense for us retail traders.

It's only a bad practice if the trade losses or your acct margin can't handle the DD... I had a basket open for ~6hrs which closed a winner but I'm sure it stretched my acct very thin. (fortunately I was a sleep and missed the drama)

I "think" this why they were looking at hedging but if Steves A B C (EW/Harmonic/etc..) wave comes to light hedging would/could be a mute point as the next wave could/would be the hedge.

I noticed the stength Indicator had very linear movement (2pips would make it move 10% up and down) So I made an experimental version running RSX the response is smoothed out a bit more ,should help with the "false signals"

I believe they may have switched the newer versions to AO indicator.

Yes but I think 2 pairs must move more pips for TP than 5 pairs?

Downloaded the latest version of the Original after my record 1 minute 10% (demo) account loss last Tokyo close session.

Now it says: Basket sell cancelled, spread too wide on USDJPY, which appears only to be 2 pips, while the setting is 10 pips.

Again, has this been triggered by IBFX playing games or is this a genuine fault?

Also is there any way of turning off the 5 second interval alert, without removing the EA completely?

Finally got another trade on the original v1.2c.
Was thinking I had messed up something while playing with it.
Took a sell on IBFX 2Dec 06:59 GMT. Had it on 3 pairs, GJ EJ & UJ. 16 min to TP.
Of course it was UJ that held the other 2 down, it finished at -1.72.
Has been a few lean monitoring periods on the original ea front.

Do like the immediate buy sell & close basket buttons, work real good with the indy.

Thanks heaps again guys.

cheers scalpz

Some confusion about the MaxSpread setting made me realise I hadn't updated the inputs list in post 1. Users of 4 digit bloodsucking criminals need to go back and have a quick read. Mind, that showed that the contributor had not even read some of my posts; ignoring them is a seriously bad idea.

Ok guys, the latest versions are in post 1, incorporating Scoobs' partial hedge every 15 minutes thingy. It has taken a while to arrive because it is music exam season here in the UK and my fingers are in great demand for accompanying singers and instrumentalists. If proofreaders can spot any logic/semantic bloopers, they can be corrected quikly and easily.

Original V1.3 is going straight onto my live account. The wave 2 trading thingy is working fine, so far as I can see. I woke up this morning to a wave 2 sell that netted 1% of the balance in under 20 minutes. Wave 3 didn't happen during the bot's trading hours.

Be careful trading USDJPY between 12.00pm GMT and 3.00pm GMT.

Someone is going to dump some currency.
