I went long on the breaking of R at .9200 , it seems we are developing an ending diagonal , and we currently are in the 5th and final leg, targeting .9450- .950 then down to .87-5 ish this count is valid as far as S at .9100 holds

Good Morning all,
Just been studing the charts over night and calculating the weekly range. According to my figures we should have a healthy range to .9420. That is if Gold holds up and we dont have any more surprises such as Dubai debacle. On the lower side of the scale, I expect to see 89.50 sometimes next week. Any comments or any other ideas? Please share...

I'm positioning myself for 9270 area to be a swing high before a leg down. Added a double sized short at 9255: target open, stops over 9320.

The move up is underway as expected. I have 3 targets on the upside, 1st is 9298 which should be hit today, second is 9407, and the third is 9569 which should complete the move up for the year.

I think if it breaks .93, it will go higher, and any dips will not be much below .92, but I am often wrong.

Well, for today my range is 9235 - 9270, which could over shoot to 9280. If it breaks that then 9310 is a possibility. But at the moment it is sitting right on neutral trend band so it could be anybody's guess.

Of course, I'm long from .9205, so maybe a little biased. I'm eastern US time zone, so your "today" is different from mine!

I am in Sydney, currently 9:40 waiting for ASX to open at 10:00 ( 9:40 Pre auction). All ordinaries normally follows the US30 when it opens and pulls the AUD up with it. But runs out of puff pretty quickly and retraces back ( and so does the dollar). Then its all the Honkies ( Hong Kong Market) who take over and give us a hint of the trend. This is my observation, and stand to be corrected.

AUD traded higher supported by improving risk appetite as concern about the Dubai debt crisis recedes. AUD
was also supported by an RBA rate hike and a record rise in the price of gold. There is growing confidence that
the Dubai debt crisis can be contained. The RBA raised interest rates 25 basis points to 3.75% as expected and
said that the global economy is back to growth. The RBA went on to say that 2010 growth should be close to
trend and inflation close to target. The AUD also benefits from report that China's manufacturing PMI rose at its
fastest pace in five years. China is a major export destination for Australia. AUD was also supported by gains in
cross to the JPY sparked by today's news that the BOJ has expanded its funding operations. AUD gains were
limited by report of weaker than expected Australian building approvals, PMI data and profit-taking as the RBA
rate hike was widely expected. Australia's October building approvals declined by 0.6%, a 1.8% rise was
expected. November PMI declined by 0.5 points to 51.2, but unemployment and output posted improvement.
Focus turns to Thursday's release of Australia's retail sales. The trade will likely take a closer look at upcoming
Australian economic data to gauge whether RBA rate hikes slow the Australian economic recovery.

The technical outlook for the AUD is positive as the AUD rises to above 9000. Expect AUD support at 9105 the
December 1st low with resistance at 9325 the November 26th high.

While everyone was focused on the RBA, I actually think the most interesting development yesterday was China's Zijin Mining bidding $545 million for Indophil Resources (IRN). Make no mistake this is a world scale asset (targets 310,000 tonnes of copper and 295,000oz gold per annum), but production is six years and US$5.2 billion in capex away. This just reminded me how short China Inc is in terms of copper and gold reserves (and how long they are US dollars). It also made me think; what on earth does this transaction make existing copper and gold production worth?

Good MAE traders. Breakout of the Tokyo high yesterday as well as the previous days range was successful as usual in capturing the majority of the days moves. Also managed to scalp a few pips short here and there but as usual, nothing stuck short.

I see some supply coming in at these levels and as usual (it seems that way for the last few months) I will start the day off with a short from the open price to see how Tokyo treats us. Charts to come.
