Bearish below .8945 or bullish above .9229

Although the market traded below last week’s support level by 22-pips, the relevance of the bearish outside week formed by the previous five trading days was proved by a second down week in succession. However, although initial gains were rejected, so was the subsequent sell off of almost four big figures. Friday’s volatile price action culminated with more than half of the original 200 pip losses being recaptured. This means that the immediate outlook is not clear and so our call for this week is to be bearish on a move below .8945 or bullish if the Aussie moves above.9229.

On the downside, a move below .8945, Friday’s low, gives a bearish signal, increasing the confidence in the possibility of a move to as low as .8852, a pullback of half of the net gains from eight weeks ago, or even towards, but probably not as low as, .8646, the eight-week support.

On the upside a break of .9229, half of Thursday’s net losses, is a bullish signal. Prices and sentiment should then improve to test .9328, last week's peak, or even towards .9427, the high from August 2008.

I'm out at .9213. Gold just missed 1200, EUR/USD touched daily resistance at 1.5075.
Usually means it will go higher!
