Well I took the trade right at the base of of the puulback...but my TP is just short of the ADR hopefully it will go the right way.

I had my SL a little high I moved it to 86.55 which where ti should have been.

Wow I walked out of the room for just a second and my TP got hit and then backed tracked up again, but it was still good for 22 pips I am just not sure about this session, I usually avoid trading this session, I only had 2 lots in there.

So I think now I will just wait for London session and see what develops. Going long on the E/U might work ok but I am not sure what I am going to do these pairs moved a little more than I thought they would during this session. I missed the entry I was waiting for on the E/U so I think I may wait for another setup rather than take a chance. But I will look again after the London session opens and see what it looks like.

The E/J is already 5 pips over the ADR. Really strange for a Sunday night.

with you there I took 15 pips. Not sure big movers already. I am gunna wait with you on sidelines now.

yeah this is unusual for this session to move like this, it has done it before it just does not do it all the time. each pair I have on my watch list is headed in the right direction...at least right now...

arab markets and dubai about to open soon. There could be some nervousness around that. i.e. Dubai Troubles.

Not sure? what are you thoughts?

Short the usd/jpy @ 86.25 sold 1/3rd 86.08,, ,sl @ .86.55. 2 nd [email protected] ,,,,Letting the bal run,,,,Riskier trade,,, but with the higher TF trend,,,,,,see what transpires,,

Hi NightMoves,

First off, thank you for posting this thread. I am a pipnoob who has been developing my own SMA based trend trading strategy and this really refined exactly what I have been looking for.

I woke up today eager to begin trading this strategy and I will tell you after doing much research early in the day to identify the stronger trends, I have been 4/4 in trades for my day (done for the night now)

Here is my results:

USD/JPY // SHORT // Entry: 86.34 // SL: 86.90 // Closed Trade @ +43pips
EUR/JPY // SHORT // Entry: 130.10 // SL: 130.67 // Closed Trade @ +78pips
CHF/JPY // SHORT // Entry: 86.30 // SL: 87.82 // Closed Trade @ +40pips
EUR/GBP // LONG // Entry: 0.9092 // SL: 0.9057 // Closed Trade @ +34pips

Not once were my stops even tested (got lucky). I believe this system, used properly, with a bit of common sense, can go a long way. I did not reach my TP's because I was far, far ahead of my pip goals for the day and I am actively working on becoming a number based trader and not an emotional one

I will continue to update with my success and failure and would like to personally thank you for showing me exactly what I was looking for. They always teach us newbs that 'the trend is your friend', and this utilizes that statement perfectly. This strategy definitely requires a lot of time to identify good entries but I feel that it gives me so much more confidence in my trades than before.

A lot of my time frames on dashboard are greyed out it has been a while since I have seen this dark on the ole' dashboard...

I should mention that when you place trades say based on say the YEN crosses, it is probably not a good idea to place more than 1 trade at a time on those crosses and the reaseon is simple, if you have several trades placed on several of the yen crosses and they look to be headed down and everything looks peachy, if some news flash comes out that abrubtly sends the pair in the opposite direction...well now all your trades could be going the wrong way...imo I think it is best just to place a trade on only of the crosses at a time for that reason. But again that is just my opinion.

Well Guys,
I am off to get some designs done I will be checking back in from time to time today, and looking to see how the srtups are coming along. We are very close to December now and a lot of the big traders will be closing their books for the year, so trading may get somewhat sporadic through the month as far as the trends are concerned but we will keep watching them there is still pips to be had out there.

Hi Guys,

My alarm was triggered and I had to get back to puter and see what caused it, well on the 4 hour chart I am seeing a breakout of the sideways motion in a down trending market on the CHFJPY cross. So I will wait for a pullback and a contunuation formation before entering the trade, looking at the ADR in the upper left corner of my chart, we are very close to the amount of pips this pair may give up today in the direction of the trend.

This is a 4 hr TF so it will take some time for setup to develop, but anyway I thought I would share this with you...now I need to get back to work...

I thought I would throw one more chart out here the E/J is showing the same signs as the previous pair I posted, so all YEN crosses on my watch list are showing at least some signs of life again, this is 1 hr chart which would be by trigger chart in this case as the setup chart is on the 4hr TF. So anyway I just thought I would throw this chart out there too seeing as how it was on my list of pairs to watch...
