Needed, Excel Trading Journal Template ... pls

Hello,

I now realize that I need to keep a journal of all my trading for future reference.

However, instead of blindly creating my own file, I was wondering if anyone would consider uploading thier EMPTY excel file so that I and other newbies would get some idea on how to construct our journal.

I also read that you shoul also include a field for "Marker Sentiment" on that day, how do I find this information out, is there like one sentiment for ALL the different pairs? or each currency pair have thier own sentiment? if so, then where and how to I know what the sentiment is?

Have you tried the search feature of the forum, it is pretty neat and might help you out, or you could always make your own even though it might involve a little work on your part...

This isn't difficult at all to do, I'm not sure why you haven't been able to do it yourself? Just create a new xls file, and label the first row columns the way you want, and then simply fill the underneath rows with the corresponding data daily.

I believe you're referring to Market Sentiment, not Marker Sentiment which as defined by Investopedia is "The feeling or tone of a market (i.e. crowd psychology). It is shown by the activity and price movement of securities.For example, rising prices would indicate a bullish market sentiment. A bearish market sentiment would be indicated by falling prices."

So basically just watch different timeframes and see if there's any bullish or bearish consensus between them.That's how I understand it.

It would be best if you took a few tutorials on how to use Excel, plenty of them on the web, or you could get a book from the library instead.

Have you done a search on Google about this? Like "forex trading journal" or "trading journal filetype:xls"? Because there are plenty of resources.

Please don't expect to be spoonfeed on the simplest matters.

Thank you for the ideas, as you recommended I went ahead and made one of my own, now I would very much appreciat it if you could look it over and see if I need to add anymore fields to it or it is just fine as it is.

My journal is similar to yours, but where u record a screenshot/gif - i have a video w/ commentary.
I save time by not needing to type out why, sentiment etc. I just record the commentary. I do not record the exit - though I have been giving some thought to doing so and incorporating into the journal.

Also, you may wish to incorporate something similar to what Que has developed.

into your journal. I ujse a similar but am working on incorporating Que's version as it is superior to my version.

This is the exact topic I was looking for!

I checked out both of your trading journals which is pretty straight forward. I would like one that I can customize what strategies I was using and win ratios etc..

Does anyone know if there is one floating around out there?
