As its a nvidia card: cheap and easy...

all in all this costed me first 535 $ out the pocket... if all rebates and everything comes it will cost me 385$.... which i really dont think is a bad price....

I count 600USD for all the stuff you mentioned. Do they put it together for that price?

When overclocking you might wanna get a good CPU cooler like the Coolermaster V8. I would order it together with the whole setup. If you do it afterwards you'll need to detach the whole motherboard which is timeconsuming.

For the GPU I do not suggest VGA outputs at all. I'd rather order a GPU with 2x DVI. It gives you much better quality and in Vista you don't need to configure the 2nd monitor manually each time you startup your pc. With VGA that is the case which made me switch my 2nd monitor to one which supports DVI.

Have to agree with artov, I would not order a vid card with vga output, even if you are still using an older monitor that needs it just pick up an dvi>vga adapter.
You can get decent video cards with 2 dvi outputs for not much more, actually for the same price area.
Later on you might want the 2 dvi's, (or more).

I also agree with the above posters that DVI is the best way to go for and most compatibility. If you want / have to be on the cutting edge then HDMI is the next step after DVI.

u mean vga resets its own settings ??

vga n dvi has no big difference , dvi just gives clearer image ...
although its true , u might wanna get 2 dvi if u r given the option , but it wont make much a difference ...

looks like the motherboard doesnt have onboard gpu despite being a 790 series , which is weird because one of the the 790 speciality was the gpu ...

also nvidia should work fine ...
it shld be better to use ati though, since its an amd board...

anyway the config looks good bro...

Correct, which means I had to configure the same settings over and over again each time I logged on/turned on Vista. It's a widespread problem for folks with Vista.

But now my 2nd monitor is linked through DVI and nothing to complain about anymore

well i will be using CUDA and not big on GPU...we will be only on windows 7 or linux hope that resetting thigns wont kill me

I currently use three 19"LCDs at work for trading.

Keep the setup simple, and it does not require a lot of $$ or horsepower to have a nice trading setup.

get the same brand nvidia or ati cards and the drivers will be fine. get two or three pci nvidia 5200 that will give you up to six monitors, go to best buy, they have a 20" for like $79. a pentium 4 and up would work just fine.
