dono why, the_ea doesnt work with fxopen. try to test but not open any trade.

Oh yes right that! I couldn't get it to work with FXDD either. I forgot about that problem. Seems it works with brokers that use the extra decimal place.

Ben, I am really impressed with this EA. Good work! And it is awesome that you have shared it.
I haven't been able to test it myself. I was able to get the first one (named "profitable") to work on FXDD by adjusting the settings but no luck with this one.
I am no programmer but I have modified a few. I think you could change the number of decimal places in the "extern double" code and get it to work with a 4 digit broker. But who am I to ask for a favor???

Due to the format I have used in the settings, it should work on 4 or 5 digit, 0.10000 is the same as 0.1000, so logically it should work

Hello!

Ben, congratulations! I was looking for something like THE EA.
While I was watching Blessing 2 EA trading, it seemed obvious that while it can cope with counter trend, I wondered how come it does not cope with trend, since it closes initial (small lots) trades at 1 level.
Because of my insuficient coding knowledge I stayed with simple MA EA, which evolved into usefull code.
Now that I see this can be coded, I am inspired to try it myself. If only I could get a look at your code, that would be something! But I guess you are right about keeping it not available for public, since, just like you said, this often leads to millions of versions, which mostly derive from original code... into unknown... and unsefull...
Although I do encourage you to make it user-friendly - those settings are hard to dig.

Finally EA opens 1 trade (using default settings). As I see stop loss set to

10 pips and TP to 150??? Is this real? Maybe it should be 15 pips

instead of 150?

Thank you, I'm feeling good about it, although I'm having 2nd thoughts on my original settings, but if I threw some initial test settings on and thet were perfect I'd be damn lucky.

As for user-friendly, I agree, when Matt wrote his version he asked me for better names for the variables to relate them to the job they actually do. We sat down for an evening and came up with better names, I said I would rename mine to the same logical names and to prevent confusion if someone went from 1 version to the other and for my sanity when advising, but I have yet to do it.

If initialSL is set to 0.001 then it will be 10 pips.

Did you even notice that Market closed on Saturday and Sunday (most of the day)?
How you possibly can send the Order, when Market
is closed..? Try to place manual BUY or SELL and see what you get.

Ben, few problems..

So far "profitable" EA only works with pairs which displays like

1.2456

In other words have 4 digits after . (dot)

How to get it working on pairs like CHFJPY or EURJPY when

price have 2 digits after . dot like 88.20 or 133.29


Other thing:

InitialStopLoss set to 0.001

I'm trying to set SL to 15 pips so I'm placing

StopLoss 0.0015 , but EA with this settings placing 10 pips stop loss

In order to work with 88.20 format pairs I took ZEROS out

like

Take profit 0.2
Stop loss 0.15
InitialStopLoss 0.1

Pips 0.3

Still, so far no luck and on those pairs no Orders has been placed..

If you could specify what should we use in settings with pair format

like 88.20 or 127.89 and so on.. Thanks

I think we both have the same problem. I have not been able to get it to trade with my broker who has uses 4 digits after the decimal rather than the 5 digits this was programmed for. I left it running all week without any trades.

Yes, confirmed EA doesn't trade at least on 4-digit brokers

loaded it up, lets see what happens.

The logic kinda makes sense...i mean...if martingale makes systems fail so much then why cant it be reversed to make a big profit? Ive always wondered about this...
