Same as internet gambling. Las Vegas lobbies Government to ban it and hey presto, you cant (legally) gamble on the internet anymore.

I have heard a rumour that the NFA are trying to lobbie government/IRS to stop people having foreign broker accounts or at the very least imposing another tax on them. But that is just a rumour I heard from a trader in New York, so I dont know.

Funny I've been looking into moving to Panama City in a few years
Might even open a Drycleaners there just to keep busy

I will be retiring from commercial trading within the next 2 years and will be hopping between Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Las Vegas and London year round.

They can try and get me to pay taxes but I think not.

Those of you with the patience to help them, please will you go tohttp://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=207090 and add a subscription to the thread so you will see when people need help. I am sure you will forgive me for not spending much time there myself.

Scoobs, you are banned from that thread. If I even notice you visiting it I shall insist you listen to an episode of The Archers as penance.

I have removed all names from my 'ignore' list; these people know who they are because they suddenly found they could not post here. Come crashing back in with questions that should not need asking here, and I shall put you straight back on it.

Advise you to keep an eye on the housing market there, it will probably crash big time in the next year or so.
There will be a time you can pick something up for much lower prices.
also watch the crime rate, jmo but it has been steadly climbing especially crime committed on foreigners/expats.

I also trade my own, because I require a different Money management to mesh with my other trading styles. I also use a bid to range ratio for all the currencies in the group to help determine which are more in tune and more likely to profit and then weight them accordingly by lot size to take advantage of the more and or less favorable pairs for the given direction the trade is to take.

By making this bid ratio for each pair in the basket, I have been getting this week, I have a net profit of 6.7894% and a max DrawDown of 1.02% I am still improving it, as the logic continues to learn on the fly how to weight the lot sizes for each pair based on their individual strength percentages.

This is similar to what banks do but I tried to make it as simple as possible for Steve to code. Anyway, it seems to work ok as it is. We can always adapt it once we get around the devaluing issues.

Yes I agree, there really is nothing new under the Sun... LOL It is very effective, though. I use the same process in my other styles and this is why it all has to mesh.

You mean you assign more weight to the currencies that have more "room to go" for example given their recent daily range and how much they have moved since their open for the day?
