For now, turn off the news filter when you don't need it. I will look at allowing users to chose the news level that is important; this is a feature of other ea's I have issued, so it shouldn't be too hard to port the code over.

You're absolutely right. Apologies for thinking that the newsitem value was returned from that method. I have just checked and it is working perfectly fine. Fingers crossed for a successful night!

No need to apologise. I have made some kindergarten-standard errors in my coding that have been picked up most usefully by others. That this was not one of them is merely good news for the rest of us.

Not that turning off the news filter is always that easy. Merely hitting the F7 key and changing from there does not always work - no idea why not. I have just had to drag a fresh instance of the bot onto a chart to make this happen.

My 24hr demo picked up a SELL basket a couple hours ago. Current DD around -$65 for .01 lot size. Does this jive with everyone else?

Hi Steve,

I'm currently receiving an error 130 msg when the EA attempts to place a basket order.

I looked this up, and it occurs because the stop is to close to the market level. I assume this problem occurs because of the broker I'm using, correct?

If this is the cause, is there a way around this? short of changing broker...

I keep on forgetting the ecn thingy. If yours is an ECN criminal, remember to turn CriminalIsECN to true.

Sing out if this doesn't solve the problem because it would represent a bug. 'twould be nice if you could confirm that yours is an ECN crim and you just forgot the setting.

Was suprised by that also. Must just be lack of coding required for ecn brokers, can't imagine any other reason.

Hehe. I forget the damn things when somebody posts an error 130, which sends me reading the code, which leads to panic and chaos because I am an idiot, which eventually reminds me about the blasted ECN criminals.

'Eventually' can take a long time when you are me.

Not that you are me, of course.

If you were, you would probably know what to do about being me.

Unless you didn't.

as far as i know, they just require an extra 2 lines of code everytime u place an order, so it can't be somethign to do with coding...

I think he means criminal in the wider sense ie all retail brokers, the choice is whether it is a ECN criminal or a bucket shop criminal.
