I wanted to post matrixebiz's clock in post 1, but I was at my maximum upload limit. I have combined the indicators needed by the robot into a single zip file. Amongst other things whilst doing this, I noticed the wrong FFCal in post 1. The version used by the robot is in the zip, so users had better check they have the correct one.

Thing is, any piece of software needs a stimulus before it will do anything. A word processor only creates a new document when the user tells it to, for example.

mql4 EA's require a 'tick' from the broker to be kicked into life. If the platform is disconnected from the broker, the EA doesn't get a tick and so does not leap in to life.

Only 70 pages and 4 upgrades and 1 nana chucking in 4 days.. Still steaming I see. Cant wait for tomorrow.

Yeah.

I have been told you can do it by placing a call to a .dll from init() but i dont have a clue how todo it.

Also, if people find they are losing connection etc then the following can help.

Tools / Options /Server

Then uncheck Data Server Auto Configuration. Then your broker cant redirect you to other servers.

Cheers scoobs, I've seen this alluded to before, brokers messing with servers configs to ensure disjointed trading and connections, the little cheeky monkeys!

I have made a couple of tiny changes to 2.4. It is probably safe to download this now as I shall be busy today and so cannot do any coding.

So far as I can see, the robot is nearly finished assuming the new code functions correctly. Pride makes me want to encapsulate the indi functionality within the robot, so I might try again this week. Apart from that, 'tis pretty much done.

I will send you the code for the RSI in a function call right now. so you can if you want. I rewrote this last week. did not know you were interested in doing that.

Maybe this not a very good idea Steve.

The reason you have it checked by default is if your broker's main server goes down, then your MT4 will scan the other available servers for a connection.

If you uncheck it then it forces your MT4 to always use one of the servers. If it goes down, you will never get a connection.

Its a bit catch 22. I posted it because I think that some naughty brokers are sending 'Lost Connection error' to your MT4's.

So, I dont know if it is a good or bad thing for user's todo.

Don't expect any trades tonight, big news regarding JPY and GBP.



PS. It's actually a very heavy week for news affecting most pairs constantly. This is one reason why November is a difficult month to trade.

You maybe better off taking a holiday to one of those retail Islands you own.

The indicator shows the strength of JPY, not individual pairs.
