spread on GBP/JPY @ alpari is 12 pips intead of 7 pips they claimed to be

They said G/J spread is 7 pips on their website. Yesterday I found it's actually 10 pips. But just now I found they increased it to 12 pips! They keep changing it all the time! Anyone noticed that?

Yes, they widened the normal spreads in October on live accounts.

And that's indeed a good sign! Alpari isn't one of the scammers who have fixed spreads all the time. During high volatility and low liquidity the spreads are wider than normal.

This thread is a bit old, but for clarification purposes, the above does not describe Alpari. They are a market maker, aka bucketshop; they do not have "multi bank price feeds..."

I can not say anything good about this broker. I found different non NFA broker (forex uk). I was impressed when they gave me refund in 2 days for a mistake they made. No need to fight for anything. Good luck.

I don't think that show's they're are great people. advertise 7 charge 10......... yeh great guys! and just imagine the re-quotes you would get on the G/J with em!

GoMarkets offer 4 in high liquidity times why not look at them, no com either.
