Yeah, that's a good question.
As I remember, Cobra uses GMT London time on MT4 for pivots calculations.
If I'm wrong Cobra will hopefully correct me;-)

Right after London session closed GBP/USD reached a bottom trend line on 15m chart, Trix on 5m chart were oversold and 1m Trix crossed presenting good opportunity for a long trade.
Then bounce off MS1 and 100sma on 1m chart with a Trix cross presented obvious short opportunities.

Hi folks

Sorry for my actual absense, I'm with a boatload of work and some new biz (not FX related) and need some time to get all rolling.

During that time please help yourself by reading the thread, there are also good traders around which can answer most questions.

I will be back soon but lurk in all days.

hi everyone nice thread i am still reading this thread from beginning and its a long thread dont know where to start from it might take ages to read all of it so if anyone of you can tell me which page is the best to start from also i was reading in the thread about acumen's psych levels can anyone tell me more about it and if there is any indicater behind this i shall be very thankful

Sorry to ask a elementary question.

Fast trix refer to 1 min trix, reflected as the thinner line on the indicator?
Slow trix refer to 5 min trix, reflected as the broader line on the indicator?

You may wish to read "Steve trading plan", its a good reading for beginners. I am just starting out this wonderful THV system. Currently tested 4 trades and 3 are winning trades, with a 10 pips profit per trade.

Hi guys , i AM NEW THIS TREAD I LIKE TO INSTALL V4 SYSTEM TO TEST .
I HAD LOOK AT MOST OF THE TREAD BUT DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW V4 SCREEN LOOKS LIKES. TOTALLY NEW TO FOREX AND MT4.
I HAVE COPIED V4 SYSTEM TO MT4 . BUT DO NOT GET ANY SCREENS THATS LOOKS LIKES V4 SYSTEM ON TREAD. pLEASE HELP .

It is indeed a painful experience for beginners, which I am now going through! (I had blown 40% of my capital injection when I first started and now I am hoping to recover my losses back.) With hard work and determination, I hope to be as successful as many seniors here.

Don't feel bad about having lost money. We ALL went through that proces, some lost more, a few less, as long as you stay in the game.

...........and then the mental issues you need to go through.

Trust me, stick to your plan, take a breeder every now and then, stay careful and you will make it.

The template I uploaded on my last post has the template that I use on it, the same post that you quoted. I don't use THV's templates that came with the download. However, I believe the 1 thv4 ff is the default template for trading on the 1m and 5m charts. =)

Ah, this trade when changed to my M5 trade rules, I closed with a small lost of 5 pips, however, if I would have stayed with my M1 trade rules, it would have got me +10 pips profit, hitting my target. ^^" But if the M5 entrance is good, it could bag you 20+ pips in one setting, so -3 to -10 pips risk for a 20+ or more potential pip gains, that's a pretty good risk/reward ratio to trade with for me. =)

You can PM me if you like for more information. I can't share with it here on this thread, because this thread is for discussing trading with pure THV indicators/rules only. ^^ But if you look at the past screen shots I've posted, it's not too hard to see how I trade, as it is very simple forward. All my rules are still the same as trading the THV method, only difference is I also use the Laguerre RSI to filter out entrances.

Many thanks for your reply because GMT setting affect PIVOT POINT.
I shall set GMT +1 or GMT +2 or leave as default? My broker is Alpari UK and I'm reside in Asia currently.
Current Asia time is 2:40 pm and I think London time is 9 hours less- 6.40AM
