So what do you guys think about JPY news on Core Machinery Orders m/m tonight? How is this going to affect us?

Bugger. Another bloody JPY news release about to kill our trading possibilities stone dead for the night.

Hey ho. At least it gives me a bit more time to look at the bits and bats that need updating/sorting out.

Sorry to keep on going dark, guys; it has just been a busy few days.

Ervichov, if you keep on having difficulties with FFCal and VPS, simply switch off the news filter and shut down the robot when you don't want it to trade. I suspect you are not daft enough to imagine that any robot is a set-and-forget, so this should not be too big a hardship.

You will be fine.

But another example of wrong information on FFC

FFC say previous was +0.5% when infact it was -26%

Very worrying this. I have contacted FF about the problems yesterday morning but they have not bothered to reply.

A shame really if you have Robots relying on FFCal.

I think they are correct, Core Machinery Orders m/m was +0.5, but there is other item at the same time called Machinery Orders y/y which was the -26 you mentioned. But this is missing alltogether from the list. So yes, it could be better.

On the bright side, the robot detected the news item and deactivated itself correctly

Yes it was the one that was missing I meant.

I actually think you can ignore the news filter for this item but it is upto each of you if you believe me to be correct.

I'm thinking to play it manually. If news come good, force a sell basket, else stay aside.

BTW Steve,

there seems to be a bug in the timing of the news. Mine went off right now, which is 1 hour before the actual news.

i have put mine v2.0 with news option to false inorder to check and test more for bugs...if any.

yes I know this, I mean it told me the news are now with popup window and then it activated itself, i.e. the message that is inactive because of news went away, and the usual comments when it's trading are on screen now.
