I think so...but you won't find it using MetaTrader. I found some very sympathetic charts while trading the indices. Unfortunately, seemed each market favored a paticular data stream...SnP favored a tic chart, Russell favored a range chart,...etc. As for the optimum time, that seemed to work as well, but most of my studies on time charts were done when I was expermenting with pyrapoint, using fib numbers for length of time.

i know u like 17 to 16.59 (NY) trade times for currencies,
but did you source an optimum time bar chart for currencies?
and range bar?

No...as I mentioned above my studies were done on the indices, not the currencies. The 3 min chart is used by a lot of hard core currency traders though...the problem here is with the accuracy of the Andrews lines on small time frame charts. The longer the time frame, the better reactions the Andrews shows...or so it would appear. While I use Andrews on small time frames I am very aware of the larger time frames and am prepared to bail when things looked skewed.

no doubt there is some bias, but MLs have to be one of the best (and under-utilised) trading tools available

if there is another please let me know

was hoping to get some momentum upwards off the ML at yellow circle,
but price breaks and closes below ML, hitting my tight stop on the way through (-12pips)

perhaps a wash n'rinse as Tim would say, ..........we'll see if it heads back up now

either way, that's trading!!

As of now GMT 12:33, we still don't have a confirmation to long the said pair. Let's see how the Gbp/Usd resolves herself.

This is the spot cable in the hourly time frame. price actions hit energy point and went for the reversal to the upside. Coupled with the Harmonic Gartley 222 pattern; profit/risk ratio was good to go for the long side. Take care.

Currently short (50% in)...it is my opinion, that today should be a pivot and tomorrow has a high probability of being a down day. I think the high for today is already in place and a bit lower on this current move and I'll be all in...watching lower time frames for confirmation.

Small short just below Wednesday high and 6/8's (cyan) touch, add in with 6/8's rejection confirmation, add in with ML (cyan), UML (pink) and 23.6 (fib) penetration.
In profit at the moment and moving stop to averaged BE+.

target +40, missed by cpl pips, so decided to exit +35, not letting this one reverse on me

Whoa...EU came within 2.5 pips of me stop while I was taking a nap...
Moving stops down on confirmed M15 pivots now that I'm awake.

Looks like you did very well during my nap time Peter......you might consider looking at prior pivots for your stops. Haven't looked but think this would have kept you in the AU trade...but hey, there's noting wrong with taking profits as they occur. It's hard to go broke when you're taking profits

generally, i use -15 cash stops, and with my trading style it seems to work, but occassionally i'll get a wash n'rinse.

Hey Peter...yep, course I'm not always right. This time on my first entry there was only an -8 pip stop, perhaps lucky that I got in at the top of the move...
I get the rinse cycle from time to time as well, just part of trading.
I'm 75% out at my previous posted support line (+178 average) and have a trailing stop 10 pips above the down slope UML. Not sure that this is going to keep me in, but worse case...it will be a +118 exit. Each M15 bar, the stop goes apx 2 pips lower.
