The smaller the profit target for a given trade, the higher the probability that that target will be attained.

Higher probability trades + repetition + disciplined MM = steady account growth.

Get real.

Some people got monthly expenses to worry about.
And for some people, Forex is their life and their only income.

You either take Forex seriously or go get a job.
Me, I prefer doing Forex. I hate working for somebody's
ass and making them rich.

Of course, unless they were overpaying me then that is
a different story altogether.

According to testimonies at traders-secret-libr... (an ever-reliable source), it's using 2-300:1 margin for hundreds of pips on MACD or make dozens of profitable trades in a row on candles and TL's ..

Never go to a public forum and ask for advice on trading. One of two things will happen. Either you will get crappy advice or you will get so many conflicting responses you will be more confused than when you first started.

Close your web browser and get comfortable with the charts. Study them, experiment with them, build confidence in your own abilities. When you have put in enough time with the charts, trading will become second nature to you. How much time it takes will vary from person to person.

Reduce your risk, there is no written rule anywhere that says you MUST risk 1-2% on every trade. Why not risk 0.1 or 0.2 percent and get better at finding more pips? The end result is the same but it makes it much easier to take the emotion out of a trade.

Absolute unwaivering belief in your trading methodology is REQUIRED! That belief is the only thing that will carry you through the losses. If you let doubt and fear creep in even in the least little bit you will fail.

I traded about 2 hours a day over the last week. Average win was 1.8 pips. That's right 1.8 pips. Account increase was 13.4%. It was not an especially good week, I have had the flu & just not had the energy to trade every open like I normally do. I'll try to do better. I just hope I can trade up to your standards....

Lots of wisdom in the first sentences of The Fools post. Numerous little wins and NEVER let a loss become a BIG loss.

That and don't let the wife find out your trading again - is about the best advice your gonna get in this thread.

Trading doesn't need to be super complicated. Instead of searching through hundreds of systems on forexfactory, etc., spend time watching the market. Magnumfreak, for example, has done this and does extremely well based on his own system.

I have a simple system I use that makes sense to me. I understand why I'm taking each trade; I'm not just watching some checklist of entry signals I don't understand. Take the time to study the market; no one else is going to do it for you. There are large and small trends going on in some pair at any given time. It shouldn't be hard to take a small portion of some of these trends.

Also, don't be greedy. If you are trying to get 10:1 Risk to return on every trade or overleveraging yourself, you won't be around long enough to get good at trading. Use reasonable stoplosses and be happy with any kind of win at first. Trade with tiny amounts so you can gain confidence in your trading.

It is possible to profit with forex, but it takes common sense, patience, and hard work.

The secret is within you. And it is gonna take a lot of due diligence to find it.
Yes....fully agreed with your view as I do believe that most of the forumers here have tried to share as much as possible, the rest is still up to us newbies to follow-up and learn on our own.

I was looking for though.

In life, you need to be concrete. You got to be either right or wrong.
If you are a maybe, then you will lose in forex. Therefore, my
secret to forex is discipline and excellence in execution of my trade
without second thought. Forex is first nature to me. That is my secret.

And before you know it, I will be and I am Forex. I will ultimately become
super rich. Who knows when that will happen? But we can all dream a
little.
