Ichimoku forever

Hey ichi,

If I cannot see where I'm going, I go down to a basic line chart and it always gives me what I need to see.

I know this is not technical ichi jargon stuff but simple is better.

UsdJpy is stuck in the middle and needs to decide what she wants to do.

The sell at 92 was a good entry for a short.

Now we have to wait.

On g/u there is no trade setup. price action is indecisive. Though there is a break up of price on daily it is in between ks and ts. On weekly price is in the kumo.

On u/cd 4hrs even though there is a cross of ks/ts down price is still is above the kumo (right now its in the kumo). And on daily the trend is down. For there to be a good setup, price must break and close down the lower side of the kumo on 4hrs tf. And on daily which is bearish am sure price would have gone down through ts/ks and a potential cross of ts/ks taking place, taking into consideration other parameteres explained on the first few pages of this thread.

i wish learning more from this web..
1.somebody help me if my position are wrong manner regard of pin point rules.

W & daily = allign with ichomoku
3. Entry
15 minutes show up first the proper order of ichimoku.
4.Then i will look for entry at 5 minutes chart.

Somebody correct me? , If this a good attempting on what this threads rules are.?

5. Pretty obvious if we wait all tf allign together..?? perhaps some can comes with a good reason?

USDJPY trade stopped out.
D1 and H4 trends were down.
A: was a neutral cross in the cloud with the CS moving down below price. ENtry was taken on the kumo exit here.
B: Confirmation of resistance at kumo flat top and previous bounce.
C: Stop loss hit, could possibly have been a bit higher at the point of the recent CS bounces.

Will see what happens...any comments welcome

Daily in a cloud

Any short term Ideas?

nmmmm not so sure...
it on the way move higher...on 5 m chart.
but daily seems not giving a clue direction .
Maybe senior member will forecast for u.

WIth Ichimoku what proper setup that u're looking off.
If Using Multi Timeframe? what relatively the why u forecasting on price?
TF5 entry and daily tf??

Currently, I am in the following:
GBPUSD long: 1hr kumo break +60pips
GBPCHF long: 30min TsKs cross +47pips
EURGBP: short: 30min TsKs cross +30pips

All stops are at break even. My rule is that after the trade is in profit by 25% of the ADR, I move the stop to break even - anyone's thoughts on this are welcome
This takes my risk down to 0% again to free up more trades. If price comes back then I look for a cheaper re-entry if the trend stays the same way.
After 50% of the ADR I consider closing half the trade and letting the other half run but I am really looking for medium to long term trades with this method.

Update:
GBPUSD long: 50% closed out for +50pips (25 total). 50% closed for +86.
GBPCHF long: 50% closed out for +30pips (15 total). 50% stopped out break even.
EURGBP: short: 50% closed out for +20pips (10 total). 50% stopped out break even.
+93pips total.

So if it closes above this downtrend Line, should I then wait for a signal on the 1h or take the trade?

A 4hr trade is a longer term trade so I wouldn't do anything with the GBP news coming out tomorrow. However, based on a theoretical trade, you could in theory take a break of the trendline if the candle closes above it. Alternatively, wait for it to break, wait for it to retrace, then enter on a lower timeframe either on a Ks bounce or kumo bounce. I think most people have been waiting on GBP to go down since end Oct but it just isn't at present.

You could of course, wait for a TsKs cross on the GJ 4hr but this will likely be a cross under the cloud.

...or as per original rules, wait for a retrace, then a 1hr cross above the kumo, then enter on 5 or 15min.

Overall, any GBP trades, I'm still in at the end of today will be closed.

look at AUD/JPY 30 min. chart a very positive signal to buy...an arrow pointing the cross..
