Hi Pipenstein,

These 2 pairs tend to move in tandem. You run the risk of winning both and losing both at the same time. Better to choose just one of them. Or trade each during different sessions.

My 2 cents worth.
Thanks

I shut down the AUD/USD and stayed with the EUR/USD pair. I was like man these pairs are moving almost identically ( DUH )

~~~I can see clearly now the rain has gone~~~
So far demo trading E/U pair has gotten me another 59 pips today. I'm still trying to familiarize myself with this system and build confidence on a demo account before going live.
MORE PIPS TO YA!
long 1.47671 close 1.47689 +18 pips
long 1.47756 close 1.47764 + 8pips
short 1.47572 close 1.47557 + 15pips
long 1.47694 close 1.47712 + 18 pips
It's been said here many times: though demotrading makes sense to get to learn a platform or test a strategy, it's not doing your trading skills much good.
Confidence built in demo is just useless, you make different decisions when live.
You will have to go live at some point, so might as well start live now and trade microlots and win (or lose ;-) some hard earned cents. It really makes a huge difference.
I have traded THV 4 live for more than a mouth period, and I liked it a lot. I had pretty good results. I have traded on m5 period, and have observed m1 TF.
I retain a very nice combination TRIX with ICHIMOKU CLOUD.
But I found the coral not too much usefull, in particular when price is very close to it. I retain that is a little better to use an 55 EMA (shift 8, median price HL/2) for 5M TF, and an 275 EMA whit same set for 1M TF.
Particulary on 1M is where I fell some lacks of the coral as filter.
Thx
I know that going live is a whole new game and you cant prepare for the mental strain of trading live until you go live.
What signal were you using to get in & out off your trades...?
I look at support and resistance on 4h, 1h and 15 min. Also look at the trend lines on the 15 min. chart. Watch the Cloud and Trix on 5 min. and 1 min chart. But what is good with GBP/USD is very volatile currency so it's very safe to scalp. It goes back and forth, even if you make mistake it comes back and you can exit with profit.
To get out I just watch movement and when it stalls for few seconds I get out. I guess when you trade the same currency for a while you just feel it. That's why I trade only one, I love GBP/USD because it is a very disciplined currency, easy to predict.......
Like I said GBP/USD is so predictable. Always easy to trade at the support and resistance.
You can see that on the 15 min chart. And on the 5 min. chart the price went lower, but Trix didn't even cross.
It was obvious long. It went against me few pips, but I was sure that it will retrace after going down for a while. And it did........ big time.
For those of you asking for my template ...
I have modified the original trix and coral code to get the highest efficiency. This version of trix works over full bar history (no need to have 'Max_Trix_Bars_Back').
What I'm currently using is still in 'beta' stage of development. Good programmers don't release beta code until they are sure enough bugs are fixed. Next stage is THV team to beta test (to find more bugs).
At present, you see my 'raw' charts ... I still need to add the other THV bits ie color changes, alerts, Market times etc....
Thought I'd do a test by loading 2 x MT4 installations to an extreme.
Here's my PC specs (this pc is a couple of years old):
Attached Image
Here's the performance:
Attached Image
Top monitor:
1) 9 charts with my marked analysis on all the symbols I watch.
2) 1 chart with 30 minicharts (candles, MA, thv lamps)
3) 1 chart with 30 minicharts (HA candles, Coral, thv lamps)
Bottom Monitor:
1) 6 THV4 charts (including 3 minicharts per chart - HA candles/Coral)
2) 1 chart with 30 minicharts (HA candles, Coral, thv lamps)
As you can see this old PC is handling this well.
Wow 8GB ram...... I am still on Pentium 4 with 1GB ram....
Keep telling myself to upgrade but have not gone down to actually doing it. I am one of those who like to assemble my own mix and match system. Have been delaying this for too long. Bought a Sony camcorder about a year back when my wife gave birth to our little girl but could not load the Movie Studio Suite of Software as the system was too slow. Yap. Definitely need to upgrade soon ...
Why aren't you on 64 bit Windows 7?
8GB is hopeless on 32 bit windows ... as you can see I get limited to just over 3GB. I dual boot linux to make use of the extra ram.
I'm running 32 bit because I only have 32 bit drivers for my music hardware.
Hello Stratman!
For my understanding you are not yet distributing Stratman_MiniChart indy with corals and others updates inside coz it is still a beta version and its not for newbies, my question to you: is it possible for me to be one of your beta testers ? I've got the PCs with Vista 64bits and 32bits and also Windows 7 - 64bits and 32bits. I'd be really pleased to help you test this wonderful indy.
Btw, Stratman_MiniChart20 indy shows letters and numbers I tried to flick through the properties but its still isn't working, so the stable and working version is Stratman_MiniChart1.2 right ?
Thanks a lot for your contribution.
HAVE A PROFITABLE WEEK
Sorry ... my new templates/indicators are not going to be released until they are of good enough quality to be part of a thv release. My current templates don't incorporate all the 'required' thv features ... only the 'ideas' that I'm testing.
Because my work contains original thv code and ideas, I wish to give respect to the thv team and not release any of my 'thv' work separately from theirs.
With regard to the original mini charts ... use version 2.0 ... it has a huge performance boost. Problem with showing numbers is caused by not having the stratman.fon file installed. Click on my profile to find my minichart thread to get it.
