ECB’s Noyer says must keep reform momentum

Some healines out as we speak. ECB’s Noyer speaking at a financial conference in Singapore.

He is saying that the reform momentum must be kept. That downside risks, adverse scenarios could still come. Regulatory actions and macro policies must be consistent. Most of the negative effects of the economic downturn on balance sheets yet to come.

No effect on EURUSD

Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks gained as Toyota Industries Corp.’s unexpected profit boosted the earnings prospects for automakers. Commodity-linked shares slumped after crude-oil prices dropped.

Shall we see .5080 today?

AUDUSD breaks above 9250

AUDUSD has continued its push higher, not paying attention to earlier PPI numbers. There are a few shorts from below 9220 who have stopped out above 9250. A clean break above 9260 will see 93c.

Nice, I'm flat right now, 535pips for the month, I achieve my goal, so I will be careful not to blew it , my first profitable month more to come eh!!!

The Chinese vice finance minister is saying that growth should accelerate this quarter and the Korean finance minister is commenting on the surprise private-sector led growth saying that it is nonetheless premature to talk about exit strategies.

EURUSD Forecast:
The EURUSD bullish momentum was paused on Friday. This may caused by a profit-taking activity on the weekend but some people, including me, start to worry about potential downside correction or even a bearish reversal. Like I said in my weekly summary on Saturday, beside the pair can not really move above 1.5000 area consistently, we also have a CCI bearish divergence on daily chart which potentially trigger bearish momentum.

However, technically the bullish scenario is still intact. As long as the bullish channel on my h4 chart below still valid, the bullish scenario should remains strong. We seem to have a downside pressure as price now testing the lower line of the bullish channel which has been a good support so far. Although not automatically set up a bearish reversal scenario since false breakout/down do happen, a violation to the downside of the bullish channel could be a serious threat to my bullish outlook testing 1.4920 even key support level 1.4850 area. Immediate resistance at 1.5050. Break above that area should trigger further bullish continuation targeting 1.5140 and 1.5300 area

EUR/USD tried to fall early in the session but persistent buying around 1.4980 from Sovereign names amongst others has seen the pair back into the mid 1.5000’s as the afternoon progressed.

EUR/USD trading little firmer at start of week

EUR/USD is trading a little firmer this morning, up at 1.5030 compared to a North American close Friday around 1.5000.

An article in the Financial News, a newspaper affiliated with China’s central bank,will have been noted. There is a call for China to increase it’s reserve holdings of euros and yen, reflecting China’s growing trade with the EU and Japan. On the other side of the coin holdings of US dollars should be reduced.

Overnight there was of renewed sovereign buying on the dip below 1.5000, while sell orders are seen layered from 1.5070 up through to barrier option interest at 1.5100. Also talk of small stops lying around 1.5085.
