Nah, missed that too. Just like I slept through the gbp move. It was 4 am my time when it dropped. My rear end is sore from kicking myself.

lol dont kick yourself my friend, this is forex . as a great trader named jacko call it the house of pain and pleasure . missed opportunity sometimes are a lesson for the future , like an investment one day or another u will profit from it again .
here i want to say something about uj , the cross on daily below the cloud is a signal not a strong one to enter the trade but it s signal( weak one ) , let s say a currency drop and reach a support , and u want to profit from it with ichi , for sure we wont have a cross above the cloud on daily because it has been dropping for a while . but a cross below the cloud on daily is a sign that the currency is changing direction this is one of the magnificent use of ichi( traders who do not use ichi wait for a hammer on the support or what ever to go long , with ichi we have the cross ) . like this and in order to enter the trade we switch to a lower time frame and we take the ichi signal as per master vic rules and we are in the green .
as usual i m writing to u but this is not for u ( as i m sure u know it ) it s just in case anyone would find it useful .

Samer, you are a natural teacher and I hope that the newer ichi followers pay close attention to your posts. You have a depth of understanding that often takes traders a long time to grasp of this complete system-you've grasped it as I have but you are so much better at explaining it.

I have been reading this thread religiously for quite a while now and this is my first post (there a first one to everything !).
I have been demo trading for three month now, with different success, making huge profits over days to then lose everything in a matter of hours (or even minutes !). I have tested all kinds of methods, a huge number of indicators, and from what I can see, Ichi is by far the most reliable. I'm now starting to trade with my real account now.
I initially started to use it on my own, but without a proper technique and discipline. Then I made some research on internet and found this thread and I should thank Vic for his fantastic technique. This fit well with my trading technique and so far, the results are great (missed the GU last night though!).
Like many of you, I have a full time job that does not allow me to be in front of Metatrader all day long (not sure my employer would like it very much...). There are a couple of indicators that have been developed and posted on this website which are great and I'm now using as my ONLY indicators !
My suggestion: I don't know if it is possible and I don't know how to program myself, but it would be great if we could add an automatic notification by email everytime the conditions (as described by Vic in the first few postings) are met. That would free us from having to be constantly in front of the computer and make trading a lot easier for a lot of us...
As a reminder, here are the conditions:
on the 5min chart:
To buy:
- price above the kumo cloud
- tenkan sen crossing the kijun sen from below above the kumo cloud
- chikou span above the price
*It is recommended in addition to these conditions to confirm the trend on the higher time frame. This is how I usually confirm:
For 15m, 30m and 1H charts (sometimes I confirm on the 4H too if I want to take a larger position)
- price above the cloud
- tenkan sen above kijun sen
To sell:
- price below the kumo cloud
- tenkan sen crossing the kijun sen from above, below the kumo cloud
- chikou span below the price
+Confirmation
For 15m, 30m and 1H (and 4H?) charts
- price below the cloud
- tenkan sen below kijun sen
Any volunteer to put that into coding? That would be awesome

sorry i was away last 2 days , busy working as usual but trying not to miss as much moves as i can, see some good posts and seems that we are getting more and more pros using ichimoku , i have noticed that most of us now is able to trade Ichimoku using several ways and this is very good

yeah the flat lines is something very important they represent the S/R levels , they also attract the price most of the time , and shows the trend less moments
, i know that ur EG didn't move far below the Ks Weekly but this was expected , the price is inside the weekly kumo , a close below there is the only confirmation of trend continuation.
hope ur position is covered by now if it still open , the safest thing to do is always move ur SL with KS it will save ur money for sure
