I think we have a raft of EZ news coming down the slough in Friday's AM and if it is mostly bad then that could move the euro down. Big Dog likes to get his move on around these "news" announcements so one of these days if there be any ECB proxies or others (SNB, of course, will be suspected) who want to take some air out of the euro bubble then that would be when to look for their tracks.
Re: why certain moves occur during certain times of day: I go around & around on that one. There is an assumption that the market "manipulators" are somehow beholden to an 8-to-5 schedule & I don't believe that - if they want to move the market they will do it whenever it suits them. That said, though, I am always looking for patterns to exploit (for break-outs, typically) and those abound. In the end, though, if I can stay out of the way of big moves, maybe catch a waning end of one, I'll probably be better off...
