I forgot this was friday. I wouldn't have left that last trade in over the weekend. News can happen over the week end like the shopping. I don't know when the report of spending will come out but I immagine that this weekends spending will be a reflection on the U.S. economy. If spending is up from last year then economy is good and dollar will rise forcing eur lower.
My stop is not that big so I'll live with it. Especially since I got 2 extra trades added to my total for the week. Thats 5 wins and 1 loss. So if its 5 wins and 2 losses its still good. If the currant trade loses then I'll still have 71.4% average for the week. If this trade wins its 85.7%

The time I enter to the time I post is usually the time it takes me to type the trade. Then I edit and add the chart a few min. later. I wait for the chart so I can get the trade posted as fast as I can. On the last trade the chart shows the exact price of entry because the market was slow due to time of trade. I forgot it was friday and probly wouldn't have taken it had I realised the day. I don't like leaving a trade in over the weekend unless its in good profits. The market opens 15 min. befor FXCM allows you to trade, wich is Bull s**t in my opinion. In that 15 min the market can take a big leap depending on world news and events. FXCM does some crooked things I belive, but thats a different topic. I have adjusted my system to accomadate there crap. They're human beings and humans are creatures of habbit. Given time you can figure out what your broker is doing against you and work around it. I use it to my advantage.
Back to the topic....
Most of my trades take a while to develope because I take them right after NY close and the move don't happen for a few hours.
Today I took a short trade and by the time I typed the post the price had already moved 10 pips in my favor. But thats because I was off work.
I check the market at 7:00am EDT, 8:30/9:00am EDT, and at noon EDT. If I take a trade at these times I post the trade but I cann't post an analisis because I am sneeking onto the cpu at work through the admin. account where I can hide the trade station program from the owner of the cpu.:
I get home at 5:00pm EDT and am in front of my cpu untill 1:00am EDT. Unless I am doing side jobs at wich time I will tell every one that my trades will be fewer.
My thread is a public record of my trades and a free service to those who want to learn to think outside the box.

Hope that answered your question plus some you were thinking and didn't ask.

Is a doji a reversal sign, or only double-doji?
We've got a doji on the weekly, that's why I'm asking.

I think we've reached the bottom of wave b on your chart
Maybe a test of 1.7100-20 before heading for 1.7240.

Yea doji is a reversal. Doesn't have to be a double doji.

fxstreet says the low for today is 1.1706 and my trade station says the low is 1.1702. Thats a 4 pip difference.
Any body using a broker besides FXCM? What does your broker say the low is for today?

figured that. Thats why I don't like holding trade through the week end.

O-well.

I will enter a long probly 1.1660-70 range with a s/l below 1.1640 support.

I have the same problem.... However the differance in pips can sometimes benefit you on breakouts. I can't even name how many times I've bought on FXCM on breakouts from tradestation quotes and was imdiatly up 5 pips.

I'll post chart later. I expect a pull back at the very least to the 1.1750/1.1800 range. 1.1800 may offer support.

there is resistance at 1.1858 from nov. 22nd. If that breaks I am hoping 1.1900 resistance holds.

OMG wow! with in minuits of my entry the price jumped to with in 2 pips of my stop but then pulled back 30 pips. That 30 pip pullback should be large offers protecting options barriers at 1.1900. I hope so. Mabe we'll see more pull back on profit taking.

Well the top of the daily trend line held today and trade is in small profits now.

What bothers me is fxcm news says the 20 day MA is 1.1795 but my chart says 20 day MA is at 1.1750. Thats 45 pip differance in the MA. Every one look at fxcm news that has that broker. Then look at your daily chart with a 20 ma. WTF!!!!! That just makes my brain hurt trying to figure that one out.
5-10 pip differance is one thing but 45???? Something is just not right about that.

Can I get some people to give me what your chart says the 20 day ma is? Just curious.
Better yet if some one is (paying) for a price feed thats not through fxcm please tell me what your chart says the 20 day ma is.

well I googled forex charts and they're all in the 1.1787-94 range. fxstreet is the only one at 1.1750. Thats dissapointing because I switched to there charts for that kind of reason on the 7/10 ma I am using as indacaters. Now I don't know what chats to use. I don't trust any feed comming from fxcm.

I think I will stick with fxstreet charts. My trades have been more successfull since I started using them. Since the 7/10 works well with it.

My suggestion is don't use a break out of a MA to trade by since so many peoples ma's are different.

Does any body use E-signal charts? What does yours say? And does E-signal allow you to have a MA of the high and MA of the low? None of the free charts do and I know a good channel system for using the high low mA's.

At 1900 EDT(7 pm) I now have a 1.1778 20 day MA. Mabe the differance is because of such a huge move and the ma has to level out.


Still looking for an E-signal user because one day I might subscribe to it.

Here is chart on my current trade.

I am looking for at least a 50% retrace of the move up. Price is consilidated around the 38.2 fibo probly caused by profit taking.


1.1805/10 holding support for now.

edit: the change of the hour just gave a 7/10 cross down. on the hourly chart

Consumer confidance report due out this morn @ 10:00 am EST.

Hold trade through report or not? I am holding.

We are in profits so I will hold trade. Any one in this trade with small accounts is suggested to take profits now. Moving s/l will probly get hit in volitivity befor price takes direction. So I am leaving stop where it is.

Other news due out at 8:30 est.
