As a professional trader this is by far one of the absolute best indicators I have seen. I may have even picked it up in FF. (Been cruising the forums today....avoiding paperwork and came upon it).

Pic attached.

Anyone want to take a crack at an EA on it? I am a -100/10 as a programmer. If this is as accurate as it indicates it would make a great EA.

In the couple of hours I have spent playing with it the higher timeframes it could almost be a stand-alone. Lower timeframes require filter.

However coding a simple 'buy on blue, sell on red" with reverse function, SL TP, magic number would likely be all that is needed.

PS- I should mention I have some other indis used for filtering exits (just did not want to complicate the matter) and my current eas I use with manual confirmation.

UPDATE: EA and manual added below. Have not used yet. A great big THANKS to XUX99 for the EA!!!!!!


and here is his message regarding the EA:
Please post the whole zip file as it contains the FFCal and DSS Bresset with a different name so that it doesn't interfere with any additional versions of this indicator. The zip file contains an installer that installs the EA and the indicators automatically. The settings you mentioned refere to FFCal indicator which can prevent trades during news periods.

Version 0.2 added with additional filters/options. Thanks again Xux

....Does it repaint the past at all in any way ?

Good point cspip and way ahead of ya.

Did a little research on it and it is based on the Bressert double Smoothed Stochastic. From what I have dug up no it does not. I watched it on the 1 min chart for a couple of hours and saw no indications that it repaints.

It appears the author (not Bressert but whomever brilliantly coded it to look even better than the Bressert indi, whose name appears to be Robby) has a private instant chat page going but reading it I got the sense it was used more as a filter and it also appeared the members were over thinking the trades a bit. No indication of any attempt at an EA.

Additionally repainting indis tend to have an infallible visual trading past. You'll note there are plenty of false triggers from this indi (hence my point about filters).

I'll be checking it out... Simple, quick and easy to understand indicators on longer term timeframes - my main criteria for a new crowd of traders: the soon-to-be-unemployed! Thanks for your work with this.

Believe so.

I'll post a pic and indis for filtration. BUT as we all know these threads tend to get sidetracked when there is too much info will do at a later day. If we start with the EA as mentioned then people can manipulate to their hearts content. But I think it best to start with the basics.

I personally very much liked the results on the 4 hr charts.

Just as you posted this i noticed it had changed on the 4 hr for the last several bars. Guess I wasn't paying good enough attention when viewing the 1 mins.

Anyone able to fix it?

Also, where does one get this trading sim? Could have saved me a couple of hours.

EDIT: My bad. I had changed the 4 hr to 5 min (and forgot I did so) which caused me to think it had changed but hadn't.

Best thing to do is run it on the simulator by placing the actual trades on it and see how it works. Once you see that there are two dots on the indicator, it might be signaling to you there is a change of direction coming, you never know.

On the 1min is seems to just be following the price really close and putting dots everywhere.....on higher TFs it looks alot neater.

...Also, and this is abit off topic, searching for "Bressert double Smoothed Stochastic" on Google....brings up this thread on FF on the first page, and this thread is less thanan hour old...

Man, are those Google web crawlers fast...

I have run it a couple of times on different timeframes in the simulator you posted but not getting the results you showed.

Any thoughts?

That's scary. Now if we could only SEO a hot selling product to get a ranking that fast!

After digging into the Bressert theory a one minute time frame would definitely set it off and put multiple "dots" because of the movement. Think of regular stochs constantly crossing. The accelerator oscillator could also qualify as it can change color within a bar. I still use it every day though with AC and fractals. It is simply adjusting to price conditions. it too goes nuts on the 1 min but in the 2 hours I watched it (not staring at it but checking every 10 mins or so) I saw no conditions of repainting.

I have tested hundreds of indis and seen my share of repainting. Maybe i am losing it but I saw nothing to indicate here. Like I said earlier repainters are typically showing infallible results, this one does not.

So let's refocus and see what we come up with!

I put it onto the 1 minute GU and left it for just over 30 minutes, then put a fresh instance of the indicator underneath it, and compared the two, there was no difference between the two of them, and I would expect there to be as it readjusted itself if it repainted enough to worry about.

Indeed I had the same thing for over 2 hrs. My little gaf of confusing the 5 min for the 4 hr (a result of being in front of the charts for 14 hrs now) made me second guess myself but I am just not seeing the repainting.

Great indi.. I am a huge fan of stochastics. I use 14,3,3 so I changed the setting to 14 instead of 13. Now it became even better. I will try it to see if it repaints on M1 charts tomorrow.

Can you let us know how you came to that conclusion? Seems to be a bit of a debate. A few of us are forward testing and I just received a PM saying they have been using it for months successfully.
