My long @ 9150 got hit, my 9000 long got missed though. Let's see what happens when Bernanke speaks and RBA has their meeting tomorrow. Oh an exciting week we have this week.

Joel: The market has now exceeded the critical psychological barrier at 0.9000 to trade well into the 0.9200’s thus far. However, at this point, daily and weekly studies are showing overbought to suggest that the current trend will be unable to sustain itself. As such, we recommend looking for opportunities to fade the latest surge, with a break back under 0.9000 to confirm topping prospects.

Jamie: The AUDUSD has exceeded .9200 and I’ve mentioned in recent days/weeks that levels to watch are .9200, .9270, and .9325 (these are former support levels from 2008). These levels make a large zone where a reversal could occur. RSI (14 day) is above 74 but not as high as it was at the June high, when it was above 75 (divergence still exists). Price action carved out an outside day Friday, which is a reversal warning.

i agree with you bro and most of my mates is expecting a very positive result so all of us will be aiming for long except otherwise something unexpected bad events will happen. we're all hopefull to see 1:1 parity happening very soon, sooner than we expect crossing my fingers

Uncle Bernake usually gives boost to USD initially but eventually the downfall is usually twice as much.

So I would close all my long positions before Uncle Sam-Bernake speaks (He spoke this morning too, sending AUD to as low as .9115) and maybe short (I am still awake) or put a limit long orders at/around .9155ish

closed my longs @ 9223. At the moment I cant see an entry either way. Sitting on the fence. MACD is dead on zero and 144 tick is on support at 9220. My 440 chart shows down trend. Any suggestions?

Market will be looking at RBA meetings policy tomorrow morning and if turned out as expected/more hawkish than expected, expect this beast to reach as high as .9350 tomorrow.

Interest rate differential is the key difference that's driving this pair higher.

In that case given the fact that Gold is hodlin on to these levels and US market seems to be pretty positive, it would be a calculated risk to pre-empt a hawkish statement tomorrow, wouldnt it? I am just waiting for some signs to delve into it again.

wow! It has found some sweet resistence at 9220 but its mainly because the market has become quite as its Monday today with not many news coming out plus the RBA thingy which is coming tomorrow will make it fly...Till then, it seems it will consolidate here...

BTW, I am long from 9220 !
