does anyone here use multipletime frame moving averages on their charts? as in displaying weekly or monthy 365 and 150ema on daily or 4 hour charts. i have been playing around with it and seems like it could be another tool for confluence. whats your views? or is it going overboard?

I just spotted this one too... Right at a PPZ with almost 200 pips of space to move up... only thing I'm weary about is the strong downward trend. Comments?

By the way, to Mike, I haven't posted lately but I continue to trade! I am proud to say that I have reached a point of equilibrium, lol! I loss trades and then recover them! I know if I start being more patient/picky with my trades i'll start profiting more.

yeah i have an indicator for it but i was just wondering if anyone finds plotting upper tf moving averages into the time frame they trade on usefull? or if it just gets abit to much and to just stick to looking at the ma's on the timeframe u trade on?

do u find them usefull?

plenty of times i see it may be a good tool as the 365 and 150 weekly reacts with price on the daily and could give u more areas of confluence and also remind u without having to flip back to different timeframes.?

Technically I dont think is is a PB on the weekly, it's not within the previous bar?

Having said that I went long on this (with a view to managing it carefully) because of the downtrend. I based this on the daily OB yesterday. Took some profit at 1.0350, then more at 1.0395 & moved stop to break even.

This is my first post and so would like to congratulate you all on such a fantastic thread.

Well being relatively new to forex and this trading method (which i have yet to read the thread on) would like to ask your opinion on the attached eur us trade i took in which i am trying to take advantage of the afore mentioned 149 to 153 range.

I entered based upon the pin highlighted and going with the trend.
Your advice and comments are appreciated.
I realise that this may not be as per this method but i am here to learn.

Nice charts

I agree that the USDCAD is at a fantastic PPZ area. I am long on this pair from the break of the (small) BUOB. The weekly and daily PA is not great in my opinion but the area makes it worth a trade with usual money management in my opinion.

That's not a valid trade. You want to be taking these at swing lows at a PPZ prefereably with more confluence.

hi mate,welcome to the thread,. just to elaborate on the previous post what you have there is a hanging man in candlestick talk or a ghous inside PB! understanding the difference is vital as it is an exhaustion bar showing a possible retrace/change of trend from the current upward momentum. i.e...not the best place to go long!! the shape of the bar is good but we want to see that bar at swing lows.Then if there is any confluence,PPzs round numbers ,divergence and the location is good......

Welcome. That's not a pin though... a pin must have a tail sticking significantly down past the previous bars lows.
