James, why not start your own forum - with people you know and trust as mods? It's not terribly difficult I don't think.

He has his own forum, and enough to worry about as it stands.

All I know of the issues at FF are what are posted in this thread, as I only follow it, Stoiter and a few other's journals, and posting to my own journal. But if it's enough to get Jim to the point where he stands now, I think it's time any of us who have learned from him stand up and make sure things are made right here.

I'm off to send an email to FF.

that place really is forum hell.

its what this place has to look forward to if it doesnt get things turned around.

That thread is such a joke. I mean, come on.... I really don't want to drop to a level that low to even comment such primitiveness.

Some time ago I would pay almost any ammount of money to see James16 trade live. But now I will only say this: please don't start a live trading room and stay with us a while, for the sake of you, your family and us traders who learn here... Those who want to learn PA have this thread where they can find all the help they need, for others, there is PF.

It's been some time for me without this forum and trading. I have never been really active "writer" but "reader". But this time I would like to give idea...

About this forum thing - is it so difficult to move forum to James16.com under guest section? I mean - in that site you have member forum, so you have forum eingine loaded and ready.... And if you have couple moderators...

I trade pins and outside bars the same way,. That is my entry is above the high of the BUOB and stop loss below the low. As price moves in my favor with a trade like this I began to slowly move my stop up and reduce my risk. I do this when I want to hang onto a trade and believe it has more room to run, which this setup I did. We have sine stalled around 143 so i will look again to get my stop up a bit higher as the markets open and begin moving again. Each trade situation is different trade mgmt style for me.

It is tough on that forum at times Jim, (last couple of days being a case in point) there are some very good people there, but at times it is full of those who want to attack every opinion, view or post for no good reason except ....??.disruption, .

I've not ventured very much outside of this thread on FF, but if its anything like TTW can be sometimes, I completely see what your point is.

Ok,

I have been using IBFX for 3 years. Recently, their Sunday spreads have been pissing me off. As you can see from the attached, 9 pip spread on EU. Ridiculous...

Anyone have recommendations on a good broker?

Hi Griff...this link is very helpful. It references J16, but I don't know if it's an "approved" resource or not (meaning somebody violating a copyright or something). But it helped me a lot.

Honestly, I have no idea what all the recent problems re. the thread are about as I'm new here, but if this link is not ok for some reason, then I have no problem with the mods deleting it.

Just trying to help the brother with the question...

dont sweat it just plan for it.

i know there are the refco's of the world folks but in over 25 years of using brokers i have never had one serious problem.

most of my trading is not done there but my experience with ibfx has been great. (knock on wood)

maybe i have been lucky.

I have been with them for 3 years, zero complaints. They pay, they do not do anything bad. My only complaint has been recently, as I play gap trades. 9 - 10 pip gaps on EU takes away my ROI. Maybe I am just being nit picky as I have had a few weeks in a row with great gap opportunities(Not this week).

Its the cost of doing business, and I need to shut up now....

Hmm...I had a nice gap trade on GY today, although I exited with only 20 pips and it's gone like 60 so far, but still happy...

i hear what your saying que. it would throw a wrench in some gap methods thats for sure.

i think the best way to play gaps is when the gap gets closed and the closing point is at a pivot zone.

just thought i would throw that in.
