I treat a inside bars as an entry only, along with them I have found a way that suites me to manage them. When I am trading I am looking for a set-up and entry. I hope this helps.

After reading and viewing Martin Pring books, articles and videos I was wondering if anyone has tried this simple idea? In my reading, Pring is non commital regarding line vs bars... although bars tell more about trader psychology during each 4 hr period. Would obviously miss pin bars and price extensions. Also extensions that made double tops and bottoms.

4 hr chart, Price Line connects closing prices.
S/R lines
Or could use multiple of ATR for SL

that was an all time swing low and a great looking IB exactly like I like em'. Tiny and showing off real indecision.

Was an aggressive trade and one of the first few of em' for me.

Great post Aaron, I agree, forever switching to new systems is not the answer. It is very easy when things go wrong to jump into a new system hoping to find a new way to get rich quick. Blaming the system, or indeed the market, for a loss is just detrimental to becoming successful. Most of the time, any mistakes that I make are down to my emotions. I think that we need to take responsibility and look at ourselves when things go wrong. It doesn't take too long to understand the basis of the material...support and resistance, bar shape etc. I have come to realise that most of trading is in the mind. Having reached a basic understanding of the material, I believe the focus should then be directed to the psychological part of trading as it is becoming very clear to me that this is by far the most important aspect of becoming a successful trader. Developing attitude, patience, discipline, wiping out the fear and building confidence is what I am now looking at in order to become a consistant and successful trader. I am currently reading, and highly recommend, 'Trading in the zone' by Mark Douglas. This, alongside Fijitrader's trading psychology section in the PF, is plenty to be able to address this most important side of trading.

hello, I am looking for info in regards to pin bar set ups... any links or chart suggestions? I have been reading thru many of the post here on the fourm. I am paper trading forex...

From what I've seen of London your heat is terrible; 20C in London is more uncomfortable than 30C in most African countries I've lived in - I think Texas is a drier heat so it should be more bearable.

James, why not start your own forum - with people you know and trust as mods? It's not terribly difficult I don't think.

There is a bit of divergence on the Weekly, also it is at levels where Price has dropped in the past. Price has been trending up strongly and the size of that PB looks relatively small to this strong up move.

The Daily trendline(s) and the .9400 PPZ level is confluencing nicely. Could be a good area to look for strong bullish PA. Or a strong break of the .9400 with confirming bearish PA would look good as well.
