DislikedApu, all the strategies are powerful provided you stick to the rules and don't try to fit your own into the system. one must have a deep grasp of the significance of all the components and their limitations (hey nothing is perfect).
that's why if you want to use ichimoku for your trading you'll never run out of opportunities for entry and profit. here, I'll throw this chart to illustrate.
How I would play it? I would be using all three entries to add to my position.Ignored
DislikedHi lbtrader and San,
I think KS cross appears to be powerfull assuming all the other conditions are properly met.
Over the last 2 days I had two trades one for AUD/USD(4hr) and GBP/JPY(4hr). Both trades were successful. I think for aussie I got about 90 and GBP/JPY is close to 200 pips.
Thanks,
Cheers to all IchisIgnored
DislikedHey man , CSTLB looks very promising , im practising it on different currencies at the moment , I would very much appreciate if u could post more examples , especially with live developing trades . Keep up the good workIgnored
DislikedI took a GBPJPY one as well, cloud exit, bounce from CS resistance. After 40 pips, I started trailing the KS but was stopped out by the spike, which is a bit annoying given where it has moved to now. A larger buffer might have helped me.Ignored
DislikedIf you're away from the computer would you trail by anything? With a 4hr trade, trailing by the Ks...it's not going to go very fast and in this instance got me stopped out but I think my buffer was too small for the GJ - I only had a 25pip buffer above the KS.Ignored
DislikedHi Iskander,
start from page 299 and onwards, you'll find many examples I have posted including an NFP live trade.Ignored
Dislikedabsolutely, you can use every single formation in the book and play it (wedges, ascending, descending triangles, H&S, ....).Ignored
DislikedJust hit my tp on support 1
Looks like a very interesting method , i have a question regarding SL though , where do u place ur stops in such cases ?Ignored
Dislikedwell done, and as I mentioned, I use the kumo mostly, but if I am not attending the trade like leaving it overnight, I use a constant like 20-30 pips trailing stop. if you entered this trade at the break then I will use the previous swing high, but in this case my first TP would be the KS, then when it develops into a kumo bearish breakout I would use the kumo as SL and let it run.Ignored
DislikedGot it , thanks . Do u trade following major trend , or u take countertrend trades too ? Because such entry could easily develop into longterm trade , if everything goes well of courseIgnored
DislikedJust wanted to explain my long E/U bias.
Chart #2 - 3 hour
- Price breaks out of Kumo which is green in the future (bullish)
- Good place to enter long is at previous long flat kumo lines and/or recent flat Kijun-sen (red, indicates support)
- These flat lines are considered discount prices for a good trade; i.e. you are entering with the trend at a better price.
Good luckIgnored
DislikedI know no body here trades quite the way I do, but just in case there's someone who does not want to sit around their computer all day:
Following up here with another 3-hour chart. Set an order at recent Kijun-sen flat lines and flat Kumo lines in the past. Was in long previously and am now red on it, but ichimoku tells me I am still in the trend, so I just added to my position at a better deal as price moved against me.
If price breaks below 1.4643 (Tuesday's Low), I am wrong, and it may go down.Ignored
DislikedJust hit my tp on support 1

DislikedHi Steve, I don't know if you can call it a scalp, but you can take anywhere between 20 and 100 pips on 1M using vic's strong signal strategy or any other strategy, I think I posted a few charts in the pdf document EJM1CSTLB.pdf a few pages back.Ignored
DislikedHello lbtrader, what do you mean by vic's strong signal strategy?Ignored
DislikedI think be careful placing a sell above the kumo even though there is a TL breakout, not sure where you entered in this case. Once it crosses through the kumo and the CS crossed price (& CS exited cloud with), that would have been a good place...well a safe place.
