Here are the exact resistance levels to watch for.

Using the ADZ9 December AD$ futures contract prices, the resistance levels are .8793 (current high as I type this) and then .8798. Beyond that, it's really up there and not likely to be hit today. So I'd say that .8793 (current) or .8798 are looking pretty good for today.

Currently with Europe asleep and NY "deep asleep", what do you guys think this pair will do in short term?

A lot of people said, including myself, that interest rate rise today was not a chance. Well it happened.

A lot of people said 90c before next year is not a chance, well we're within 160 pips of that mark.

Can it happen today, tomorrow or next week?

so RBA increased rates in Australia to 3.25%

this reinforces my idea that a correction is due for this pair

I doubt it will make new highs before retracing, but in case it will, it could be a false break and then slide

I am still short from 0,8760 and not worried, will add only in case it will break 0,8860 highs, limit to 0.8910

0,85 - 86 is still what I expect this week

fimmira dont doubt anything just watch the previous high and wait if it goes through and stand its ground then were going higher and if it cant then its time to short for me im going to give it few hours and get a confirmation of either to short or long

one thing thats making concered that it will have a hard time going past its previous high is the volume

Resistance strong at .8843 area. Also, Oct 6th is big reversal day for AUD/USD.

lets wait for a couple of hourly closes above 8860 if we dont get it then i might short going to post my chart after couple of hours and my trade goodluck

My first short position this week, I went short in NZDUSD at .7348, the S now R from Jan,08. and an ending digonal at 30min charts, a drop at least to .7250 is on the card, Kiwi chart seems more mature to me

here is what im thinking we might have a double top in play so lets wait and see im leaning more toward a short now but going to wait for 2-3 hours before i short or no play

first hourly close above 8860 lets see the second one now if it stands the next 2 hours im going long again buy high sell higher

I believe it will retrace from a psychological .89 level. It would definitely want to to test it esp in London and NY session before retracing back to .87xx level.

a highly reliable source from one of the 4 top banks here in Australia told me right after the increase that their bank had "already priced in" the rate hike so in that case, expect the reversal.

BUT, not before making the new highs - which this pair already has.

Limit sell at .8895
