I've been short since 8705.

It's failed at .8750 too many times, hopefully the US market will bring it down and I can get rid of my bad trade.

accumulating aud/yen long position and im short aud/usd it will create usd/yen long position syntheticly ! the plan is aussieyen/aussiedollar=usd/yen

the range for aussie/dollar 8747 - 8718 , move beyond this range , will attack the kiwi/dollar from the long side and limit at 0.7230

Hi Ben. Yeah, nice move last night - we could end up with one of those low range weeks but one of the charts I look at (and am still testing) has given me classical bearish divergence on daily.

I'm not sure how this is going to play out. I would have liked to have seen more of a sharp move up and then capitulation like with the USDCAD when it hit the 0.90 area in 2007. They used to say the reaction to NFP set the tone for the month but I'm not sure if that is relevant anymore. We can't deny that the Aussie economy is one of the better ones out there though.

I've been pre-occupied with other things but I thought the fact that the G7 avoided criticism of the US$ was interesting. Beautiful support from my 34 EMA on the daily chart as well on Friday for the AUD.

Not very helpful am I - ha, ha - need to set my charts up properly on my laptop now that I'm not around work and then I might get a clearer picture.

why do you think it's a bad trade? ... you were bit early for short ... but if it breaks 8690, IMO it will go further down so i suggest you TP not just get rid of it ...

if the price penetrated 8740 and not touching 8747 i'll add more short 'cos that tells me the buyers is out bid by the sellers at this point of time

I think it was a bad trade because I used emotion instead of my system. I saw it go up, stall and I thought it would be a good short. I'm still holding on. I trade 15 min TF on this pair and 23.6 retrace is .8630, hoping it will get back down. I still have a few open shorts from last week @ 8820.
