Hi FX, when you have a few moments I’d appreciate your views on what I hope isn't a dumbass question.

From time to time for whatever reason I’ll miss an entry. Then sometimes it will retrace past the original entry and then head back and re-break it.

Traditionally I guess we’d look for an entry after the last LL on a short or HH on a long. But, what about re-entering on the break of the original level?

Here’s an example from this morning.

I missed the initial entry, but what about the second bite of the cherry?

The risk is you are potentially walking into a #2 situation and you’d want to play that as if you’d had taken the original entry. On the upside, you’d get more pips than waiting for the LL and an improved RR off the lower SL.

What do you think? Take this or wait for the break of the LL?

what happen to your doji analogie?
are we going that rout? or we are sticking to PA..
I can not be helpful is you got that kind of mentality mixed with your trading.. bcz I don't know nothing about it..
this is noise trading.. candel formation is pointless..

should not have exited.. should have moved stop to 592 and reversed if hit... now if it keeps going down my options are screwed... daaaa.

Only reason I exit was to keep some profit instead of watching PA... trading scared, there was NO reason to exit.

Lh and LL is whats important in a down trend... now sitting on my hands say SHIT.....

FX , my apologies for mentioning Doji .
There are some Davids in this thread ... I am the one
It's just a term used on Japanese candle stick .

When I look PA I look also at the candlestick .
I look if this is a big or small bar
I look at speed/momentum
In the specific case in my chart I saw PA loosing momentum and the formation of a possible big bearish candle .
I was cautious and exit with 15 pips .
That's all .

Yes it wasn't, FOURX....

it was only an experiment....
