Well had another great Asian session and played my first S/R trade on the U/G placing a sell entry around the daily Ks and didn't want to go into the news so I closed it for positive 10 and 2 other positions for 55 total using Vics method.
Hope everyone else had a good night and happy trading today.

News spike stopped that one out on the USDJPY.
Oh well, awaiting a re-entry if the 5mins goes back below the cloud.

I think this trade was supposed to have some room as this is a 4Hrs cross and it might consolidate before drooping down , any way sorry that you stopped put wish you luck next time

Thank you Vic. I notice there are news stories up until 2:30 today. Are they all issues that would move the market? I'll probably just stay away just in case. Don't need to be bit by NY session news any more lol

This is the thing, if we take entries on the 5mins chart then the stop is usually the other side of the senkou. If it's a 4hr trade, then I find it difficult to see the reason in taking 5min entries. The answer could be it allows us to add to our position but in that case the stop should always be the other side of the H4 senkou/Ks ?
Chatting with 4x yesterday and he takes the 1hr Ts/Ks crosses with entries on 5min but the stop is always the 5min senkou.
It was only -20pips, not a big issue . With a 15min entry it would have still be going and as said, I can always re-enter at another 5min cross if need be.
Just trying to work out some consistency with what to do on the 5min timeframe and so far I am finding it a dangerous timeframe - mainly because it is very noisy and very affected by news reports.

yes you can re enter at any time , and by time the issue of the SL will be a piece of cake , i used to get confused myself regarding where and how to put my SL, some following to the market will add more experience and ability to manage you deals

So, a 4hr Ts/Ks cross, you enter on the 5min but put your stop at the 4hr kumo?
This is different to what some others do which is enter on the 5min chart with their stop on the other side of the 5min kumo.

I entered with the last retrace towards Ts 4Hrs and my stop loss is above the 4Hrs Kumo, you can use the lower TFs as your reentry points

Can anybody to post here what set up for ichimoku You use? I am a newbie and consfused from variety of setting. I am using 9-26-52... Is that ok for newbies?

if you missed the cross entry you were supposed to enter during the last pullback , if missed it it also you can go with a cross from lower TFs

Yes, I've read the thread. All 4 pairs played out just the way I thought they would and made a crap load of pips
