"AUSSIE: Slipped below $0.8700 and testing earlier reports of strong interest to buy Aussie going into month-end from the real-money community on the back of moves seen in equity markets in September. Bids noted lower down now at $0.8650/40, with techs retaining a positive outlook while above the 21-day moving average, coming in today at $0.8607."

i had trade such this:

short eur/usd at 1.4540 and long eur/aud at 1.6724

i got aud/usd short synthetic at 0.8694

and aud/usd now at 0.8700

it would be nice if the position look like this

1.4800/1.6700=0.8862

i got price aud/usd short synthetic where it's never been there before

then attack the aud/usd on it own from the long side

Cool, I got in yesterday at 0.8730 and should've taken 0.8680 earlier but I was on my way to work... ended up getting out for 30 pips at 0.8700 and just now got back in at 0.8725... looking to add more short at around 0.8775... all depends on the AUD retail sales later... if they're bad I'll likely hold the short I just got at 0.8725 for a potential 0.8600 dip later this week.

Later, I just got back in on that break, at 0.8725... had to close my short from yesterday at 0.8700 for a mere 30 pips profit as I figured the US dollar would start to sell off later in the NY trading day as usual... I'll be looking to add more short later if it continues to climb.

GBPUSD - The ratio of long to short positions in the GBPUSD stands at 1.38 as nearly 58% of traders are long. Yesterday, the ratio was at 1.53 as 60% of open positions were long. In detail, long positions are 1.4% lower than yesterday and 8.6% stronger since last week. Short positions are 9.3% higher than yesterday and 10.9% weaker since last week.
