Please will you able to take a screen shot showing what it would have looked like at the time you would have taken it. (i.e the red vertical line at 12.20 is at the far right of your screen). Just so I can see the price movement before hand.

Also, Can you give me the laguerre value please ?

Good Points as always from Pilatus I did not even think about this. Definitely something I will look at next time.

How long after a big move move would you take a trade is it say 1 Hour of steady price movement or 2 hours or more? Because we do need the movement before a signal to confirm we are in a trend?

as well. When these three line up with the trend follower system

Hi Pilatus

I normally don't trade for at least an hour before high impact USD and EUR news.

Do you think it is safe to trade through high impact GBP and CHF news (when the pairs being traded don't include either), or should I use a similar approach as I do with USD and EUR.

Please let me know the approach you take.

Hm good question. That depends on how you are good in understanding news impact and their behaviour on market. If you think that you can trade news try to follow some time how market behave and then trade when you get familiar with it. If you are newbie to trading avoid trading news.
I personally avoid trading during news release. It is easier and less stress.

Please provide your view on why you think this trade has failed. I am running GMT +2.

One thing you may say is that resistance line is close. But pipinaintez has put a similar trade up on post #3211 where DR is close to price and you advised to take that one.

I have just downloaded the EA and read the manual. Backtesting on th H1 charts look good.

Do you see previous high from friday which act as strong resitance at the moment? Now tell me, why would you enter long few pips befofe resistance?
Look how price immeidately rebounded from that level on friday. What does that tell you? Strong resistance. And you can expect another rebound from it.
If price was above that level and rebound from it, for long, and you get signal, you would have much potential that price wants to go long. Just learn everything you can about support and resistance levels. They are not just or always pivots. Sometimes price stalls somewhere between.
When we have trend we have higher high higher low for long trend etc. and viceversa for short trend. So, look at picture of gbp/usd today. You will notice lower low lower high etc. and clear support and resistance levels which are changing roles from support to resistance. Here we have potential to enter a trade.

Hi Pilatus, its a nice feeling to have someone who understand this amazing system like you. I agree with you that to have an edge with this system one needs proper understanding of PA,S/R levels and Pivot Point. Thanks for your feedback on questions, its been very informative and it has help my learning curve alot.

No problem buddy. Well, I do not know much about fx trading but I do know logic and basic background.
You can do by yourself analysis like this it is not hard. On previous examples I have intentionaly removed pivots points to show s/r levles. Now if you put back pivots you will notice that price broke weekly pivot and rebound from it for short just few candles before signal to enter short. What does that means? Always keep an eye on monthly, weekly and daily pivot. If price is bellow all there of them that gives us information we are in short trend and we need to look for short oportunitiy like in gbp/usd example.
General rule for traders who trades by pivots.
If daily pivot is above weekly pivot and weekly pivot is above monthly pivot we are in long trend and we should look for long entry after some RETRACE and of course valid signal. Vice versa is for short.
Often, mentioned pivots are not in that order. So if weekly is above monthly we are still in long and vice versa for short regardless where is daily pivot. But if we have situation like on gbp/usd we first wait for price to be below daily pivot to look for short entry, otherwise is better to wait.

Hallo MT4 gurus,

First thanks for the chart. I'm new to forex & MT4.
I just download the free MT4, and tried to login to LiqCon-Demo server.
As I open the EUR/USD chart, I see the time was : 08.10 (server time),
after applied the trend follower template, the time of chart changed to 08.40.

How can I change the time to the server time or to my local time (GMT +7) ??

People I really do not know what to say. This is my chart, look again. Next you should try to restart ema crossover signal indicator. That can sometimes put arrows in right position.

Hallo TheWicker, Pilatus and others,

1) I found mq4 that tell my current local time. Is it possible to 'bundle' it together in the template, so I don't need to add it everytime I open the new chart (drag & drop, tick at DLL .. etc) ? If yes, how ?

2) Is it possible to call all mq4 indicator, so if ALL the rules match, it will prompt alert (like EMA crossing alert). In PHP we can call the function of other files / class, and work with them to build a new target. Is it possible in MT4 mq4 ? Any tips ? Any suggestion where can I get information about MT4 programming ?
