Any experience with this ? How does it work ?

(Asking from an IG Australia perspective - i assume its the same for UK)

Pure DMA gives you direct market access via CFD's into the ASX trade book. IG acts as your counter party into the trade (you buy 200 they buy 200). Buy doing this they cover the excess funding and you can purchase on margin via a deposit.

Trades you take are dependent on available liquidity at the time in the stock. Hence you want to buy 300 of Xyz at limit $20.00 you need the ASK to be at 20.00 with 300 shares available.

I am no expert but that's the round about way it works.

Apocalypto is right, the only addition I would make is they are not always the counter party, like any DMA broker you can place your order inside the spread and it will appear in the order book until it is filled or you cancel.

PureDMA will not appear as functionality for trading forex at all.

Pure DMA is best way to trade stocks, as you do not need to come through the process of paper work, and you can trade any lot, not only 100 shares.

No moved off the 15min to 1min after I moved to Interactive Brokers. Now focus on the G/$ and $/J
