IMO you are doing correctly here...
Even when the expectancy is not at its highest level here, I think that sacrify 4, 5 6 pips in order to be able to catch a runner, and with no risk at all is a wise decision of yours, from my humble opinion, of course....

Hi Feline, this option of entering later on, could be much more riskier than if you were already in, from the previous FCR...

As far as you are aware of this you should have in mind to play an agressive #2, only in case it goes wrong, if it goes your direction fine... .....

Now that we have been fighting to get this far for a long, I feel like closing at +21... but going to try hold it/

I have lot of confusion regarding this point .I know there are no rigid rules.I now it's more like an art .It's a personal preference. It depends also on risk tolerance , etc , etc ,.
Let me explain my confusion:

I have read a lot here about expectancy. BUT sometimes it looks to me to expect for a "normal" retracement can not be part of the plan .
It looks to me that in order to catch a runner we need a lot of luck , that as soon as we enter a trade the price will take off immediately ...otherwise we can be in one of the scenarios described above .
I want to share with you 2 loser trades form today .
I think that my main problem is that I am not sure about my plan .
If for example I go Long , that means that we are in an uptrend and that the price is making higher H & L . If that is correct , so my SL bellow/above the last swing H/L should hold .
So I have again a confusion between proper SL placement and playing #1#2 .
May be the use of the SL ,HERE, is just for extreme cases otherwise I need to play #1 ,#2 ?
Let look @ my chart .
Trade 1 @ 4597 . SL should be , in my opinion bellow 1 .
It's a fakeout BUT I follow

I ask myself if this is a valid fcr , If I need to move my SL from 1 to bellow 2 or bellow 3 .Exited as marked on the chart AND I am not sure if it was the right thing to do ATM. May be I should have left my SL bellow 2 and continue with the trade ...(?)

semi fakeout ...and within 3-4 candles price moves from +10 to -10 .
And I really don't know what to do . I have seen at those trade that jplo and PaulL have exited almost immediately ...In this case , if SL is under 4 , so no big drama... I am still in the game .
Even now , after the London reversal I am still in the game according to "proper" SL placement ...
I know it's easy to analyze the chart now with retrospective but I need to make this point very clear to myself .
Would appreciate your clarifications .
