Looking to trade very slow pairs, any suggestions....

I am looking to trade some very, very slow moving pairs such as EUR/GBP. Honestly for my kind of trading EUR/GBP might be too fast is there anything I can trade that moves very slow and has a history for years of moving slow... It doesnt have to be currency it can be rice, or beans, or anything as long as I can trade it on MQ4. Any help would help. :-)

Well EUR/CHF moves very slowly. Not a pair which I tend to trade, though, because it's been ranging for weeks.

If what you are trying to achieve is the ability to watch price action without too much sudden drawdown, why not consider moving to a higher time frame? As you probably know, forex is fractal so it behaves similarly on all time frames - even a bit more predictable on higher time frames. Just reduce your position size.

If you are still learning then the majors, on a higher time frame, will provide the liquidity which reduces odd, unpredictable spikes and behaviour.

Just don't make the same mistake as I did and expect quick results on the H4 or daily. If you set a trade on H4 time scale, you can wait days for a result. If you use the daily, it could run into more than a week or two.

EURCHF by its nature will range. Its known as probably the best range bound currency pair there is due too there being very little difference between the growth rates of Switzerland's and the European Union. However, you can use it to trade EURUSD and USDCHF very well when it becomes overbought or oversold.

I find the Yen/Dollar a nice comfortable pair in the Asian session after the opening hour. It settles down nicely and swings back and forth several times which means multiple trades. If you are 15 - 30 minutes late, you can still catch the tailend once you understand the pair.

The downside is that there are also sessions every week during which nothing happens and you end up frustrated.

Try the CNYUSD. It doesn't move very much.
